To those who say "capitalism doesn't force people to do anything. They have free will", if someone put a gun to the head of someone, would that not be a use of force? And how would you feel if the gunman said "I'm not forcing you to do anything. You have the freewill not to give me your money." But if you don't then you'll die, just like the worker will die if they don't do what the capitalist says.

@Radical_EgoCom Also the social destitution the propaganda of capitalism has instilled in most citizens. Americans’ human worth is tied, entirely, to their work. Healthcare, retirement, disability, housing, food, everything. If you are disabled, stay at home parent, laid off, retired, your fellow citizens treat you like you are expendable & worthless. As we see with the decisions around Covid.

@Radical_EgoCom Many don’t want poor, disabled, poc, immigrants, even if they work, to have access to any services or aid. And they treat you as such. I think a lot of Americans don’t realize how truly internally racist & misogynist their fellow citizens really are. Trump is exposing a lot of that. I think a lot of Americans don’t know how racist, misogynist, & capitalized they are themselves. Americans, maybe just western colonizers, struggle with self awareness & accountability

@Radical_EgoCom I think UBI will be a really hard sell because Americans are conditioned to despise government aid. You should have heard my home nurses arguments about why I don’t deserve care because I’m disabled & on Medicaid & that’s a socialism & it’s my fault. It’s deranged.

A lot of our citizens are delusional enough to think that’s making America great again. We have groomed people to think they too can be a millionaire by hitting oil in their backyard, or bottling air like in the Lorax. Hopefully they won’t matter & we’ll just have to laugh at them whinging about it.

@GottaLaff My teen is always telling me I need to reinstall it. It’s how she & her friends communicate. 🤦‍♀️ But I just cannot bear it. It is so obviously promoting hate & chaos. I followed a lot of disability/medical accounts. Almost every time I would post a positive comment of support, it would immediately get flagged as spam & removed. I would send review requests & feedback comments, but they were never looked at. The racist, nazi, violent threats were okay though. 🤢 nope!

Yes, I take it personally when you say you won't vote, or vote for the Dem. Why? Because among other things, the fascists tried to commit a Black GENOCIDE during the pandemic. Your actions or inaction will give them the power to do it again in some other way. My survival depends on them NOT gaining power. So does yours.

@StillIRise1963 my family had severe political trauma which had me grow up politically apathetic. I’m 52 & voted for the first time in 2020. I regret not doing it earlier. It does not feel good to know you haven’t used your voice when you could have. I understand why people don’t want to vote Biden. I don’t. But I WILL! We HAVE TO! Maybe people need to rewatch that AHS season about the Trump/Clinton election & the Stein votes. It truly is horrifying.

    @DrALJONES here’s my ?… The ICJ has already scolded Israel & Netanyahu laughed & continued, there’s an arrest warrant for Putin, but Russias still controlling the UN Security Council. So 🤷‍♀️ If none of the consequences have to be complied with, what’s the point. It’s just exposing the concerned countries to be bullied & targeted.

    Real world examples:

    1. Local government updates (like public transit, weather, mayors office, etc.)

    2. Severe weather updates. In my area we have an extensive twitter network of volunteers who monitor tornadoes and severe weather by county. Some are working to get off twitter on to their own website, but it’s not easy or instant. These are actually life saving.

    @monkeyborg it’s crazy! Last year I was so excited when I saw Planet Fitness had a summer program for teens, my kid really wanted to go to their gym. Their TOS have you waiving your rights to sue them for any injury even if their faulty equipment is to blame!! Like, what?!? WHAT?!?! Hell no. What is that?!? I’m pretty over this whole “corporations are more important than people” & “frozen embryos are more important than living children”!!!!!!! 🤮😠

    @luckytran Yep. And the health care system is in shambles. 😔 I’m on Medicaid in CA. I’m a disabled single mom with a complicated, fully systemic genetic condition, & on IV immunosuppressants. I haven’t had a Primary Care doctor since October!! I call every month. Nobody will help me. No supervisors will return my calls. I’m becoming more crippled & losing more function by the day. My kid knows who to sue when the state finally kills me. 👀 Any pro bono attorneys around?!?
