@nixCraft As a current Linux user and former Windows user this is accurate and I have no patience for Windows but man do I have the skills I learned over the past 4 months for Linux to the point where I feel confident I can maintain my Hyprland with EndeavourOS install. Man I love my setup way more than Fedora with Gnome sorry Fedora and Gnome fans

@thelinuxEXP Just completed the form. Can't wait to see the results. I use mostly Flatpaks and Fedora native applications but only two appimages and no snaps. Haven't felt the need to touch appimages or snaps

    @mcc So I hate C, C++ and C# and it's because I can't get used to no memory safety but also coming from Python3 I couldn't wrap my head behind the damn syntax. Like also unlike Rust C++ never told me where I fucked up but couldn't compile but I already had 300 lines of code by then and I never fixed it to this day. Rust fixes both of these issues and I find it much easier to code in like Python3 was

    Docusign just admitted that they use customer data (i.e., all those contracts, affidavits, and other confidential documents we send them) to train AI:

    They state that customers "contractually consent" to such use, but good luck finding it in their Terms of Service. There also doesn't appear to be a way to withdraw consent, but I may have missed that.

    @gamingonlinux I had massive issues on KDE 5.27 on Fedora 39 using Nvidia 545 drivers so Wayland crashed literally 5mins after booting so I had to go back to GNOME. I'm hearing from Fedora 40 KDE 6 users with Nvidia GPUs in the 30 series like mine that they fixed it and it works on Nvidia so fingers crossed

    @nixCraft I learned Python and Scratch in high school and I think I'm pretty good at not just coding but using pip and executing that code. Example: Using OpenSeeFace which is written in Python. I also do shell scripting in Bash and Fish and learning to code in C, C++ and Rust. Point stands I don't think Python is a hard language to code in, read, understand and execute

    @dangillmor True it's like people don't understand I run 5 extensions in Firefox just to get a little sense of privacy plus Quad9 encrypted DNS. I'd like to say I got to 99.9% private but you run a very good point. I wonder do Americans also care about data security as well?

    @flexghost Why is it the US media and the fucking CBC scared of calling terrorists out? He's a terrorist he admitted it right in front of the FBI. We had a case of that in my city 2 years ago and he was finally sent to prison. I even drove by the scene a week later to see what happened it was depressing

    @neurovagrant We also need to stop discriminating against people who have developmental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder as well. Both me and my brother are autistic and it's hell for both of us in society because it's not built for us and it's very confusing to navigate when you just want to do something that neurotypicals find easy and it's extremely stressful as well

    @nixCraft I didn't realize that in OpenSUSE Tumbleweed you're not added to the wheel group by default even tho I had sudo privileges anyways. Well just used usermod -aG wheel USERNAME and everything worked as it should

    @GossiTheDog That is sadly true. I picked Linux because I started hating Windows 11 more and more and the asus-linux.org project got me out of Wiindows. Now I'm much happier but the side benefit is better security
