"Christianity" is such a big umbrella term. There are so many denominations, and so many different degrees of devotedness.

The same probably applies to any other religion as well.

Quite often, criticism of "religion" is in fact criticism of bigotry, not of the religion itself.

1 week left before I move out of London.
First I'll go to Israel, I need my family, we're all mentally struggling and physically a bit of a mess. Don't know where I'll be staying yet, can't stay at my home because Hamas made us refugees so I'll need to figure out a sublet.
Then after a month I'm going to Maine because I miss my boyfriend soooo much. And then Bermuda, which is where my boyfriend who lives with me in London is moving back to. Exciting, terrifying times. Those people give me hope.

Some of the best pagan/secular parenting advice I have received is “teach your kids about Jesus, or someone else gladly will.”

I taught my pagan children that Jesus is ‘the god of forgiveness and charity in the Christian pantheon.’ It's not perfectly accurate, but it framed it in a way that they understood.

My parents didn't teach me about Jesus. We aren't Christian (and not atheist or pagan either).

Then one day my older brother caught me reading an adaptation for children of the New Testament, which I found in a house we were visiting. He took some time to give me context. i am indebted to him to this day.

My religion today is, to some degree, atheistic/polytheistic. I worship one God, but respect others who don't worship Him, or who worship Others. I have my brother to thank.

When a Rabbi in the 21st century chooses to cite 8th century BCE sources as if they should be used verbatim today. As if Judaism has frozen in time since the Bible.

Thank God, this is not the case, as 60 volumes of Talmud and countless responsa stand witness.

The human behind this screen (the one in front of me) is okay, I guess. Coping and managing etc.

My fridge is malfunctioning so I ordered a new one, expected Sunday.

My Shrink (with my subtle encouragement) agreed to up my dosage from 3 green pills to 4, which should help lower my anxiety levels.

Work is progressing nicely. I just finished another volume, I think it is 5th or 6th, out of this 60-volume book I'm doing translation work on. Pay is decent.

Other than that, Life is good.

    I disagree with your definition of Zionism. It may have been hijacked by those using it in this sense, but the original Zionists saw a near-empty country and dreamed of returning to it, the land where their ancestors have lived 1800 years before, without replacing the existing population. There was room then for all.

    There are still peaceful Zionists today, who wish to repair the damage done by the racist Zionists who hijacked the term. They are a small minority, but they exist.

    I have once met a young trans who was born as a boy named Mosheh but identified as a Trans woman named Kes (short for Kestrel). Your name reminded me of her. I was less receptive to her plight back then, but I did show her as much courtesy as I could. I hope she managed to achieve her goals in life and become all she could be.

    Another person criticized me for promoting my Patreon. Let me put this into perspective. People spent $74.6 million to see the 2019 film Cats in theaters. At the current rate, it would take 34,158 years for my project to bring in as much money as Cats. I like to think Low Quality Facts provides at least as much entertainment value as Cats, a film which one critic described as "The worst thing to happen to cats since dogs".

    The State of israel has been ordered by its own Supreme Court and by the UN to examine plees for asylum by Eritrean refugees. The State of Israel has refused to abide by this order and is now seeking to use these protests and this violence as a pretext to evade its responsibilities under the UN covenant to which it is a signatory, and on the way to attck its own Supreme Court.
