@taylorlorenz People just need to be mad at something all the time. This met DEI standards, and people are still like “you’re crushing my dreams!” No dude, it’s just an ad, that’s it.

Be mad at Apple for bowing to China, or child labor, or resource exploitation, or a million other things they’ve actually done wrong. This seems like the bottom of the barrel of things for people to be pissed at and it’s so unbelievably disappointing. :blobfacepalm:

@stux Serious question since is potentially looking into this: if they integrated into AP the ability to run ads on servers as a way to generate money to maintain said server, would you enable them? And based on your experience with other admins, do you think they would?

Background: Meta is thinking of ways to monetize the Fediverse by supporting servers running ads and supporting micro-transactions (this is speculation as of now, re: what’s Meta’s interest in the Fediverse?)

Today we learned that our elderly neighbour(the man) went to sleep for the last time in the hospital :sad_cat:

A little while ago he was fallen again and broke the upper leg and got into the hospital. He was in much pain and it went worse quickly unfort

He did get to say goodbye to the family and was in reasonable state for that❤️

It feels kinda weird since I was helping them out recently with (something simple) like the TV and now she's living somewhere else and he is basically gone🕯️

Got a pretty clever domain for a few bucks :ed_grin:

I'll keep the costs as low as possible and all profit goes towards mstdn and related services ofc!❤️

When old stockpiles dry up they need to be refilled what in the process creates a TON of new jobs for AMERICANS
