@pteryx Wasn't it always up to the DM to define such things? I think it's totally possible to just award a prestige class for specific actions or discuss alternate prerequisites. This is always possible.

There is no object of meditation that shake you out of imagining RPG design has developed in a neat progressive fashion like the Theatrix Flowchart will. It (the whole game, but especially it) is one of those wild branches of design that time wants to forget.

One day I will frame it and put it on my wall, just as a permanent reminder.

@LeviKornelsen Hm, I never got that kind of feedback. It happens that people talk about a system rather than the game we played with it. But my regular players get what I bring to the table. 99 % of the time I play with consistent groups in my own campaign worlds. Do you have an example?

Hallo @Gargron , danke für Deinen krassen Job, ich kapier gar nicht wie Du das machst. Ich hoffe, es ist deutlich, dass viele laute Schreihälse noch nicht die Mehrheit sind. Der Ton ist ja stellenweise furchtbar. Dein Fell muss meterdick sein.

Mastodon ist für mich die zentrale Plattfrom, seit ich von Xitter und Insta weg bin, und ich finde alles großartig. Also nochmal, danke, an Dich und das Team.

I finally finished up my but having issues with how I want to photograph them for the blog.

Here are some examples of a really stylized version I did, that I think captures the aspect of the game but I'm not sure if a more standard set would be better so people could see the colors used better.

Thoughts? I'm putting a poll in the replies to this post if anyone is interested.

@boardgamebreakdown Do you want the minis to be seen or transport the feeling of a game you'll play with them? My guess is that you want to show the minis, if you're not trying to recruit players or advertise the game.

@boardgamebreakdown As long as you have fun painting and playing, all is good, at least in my book. What you could try, since they're pretty shiny, is to use more indirect lighting. Maybe put some white cloth between them and the light source to minimize bright reflections.

How do you create this distinct sound? Does it have a specific name?

@bestiaexmachina @derthomas I'm not proficient with Marshall amps. There might be some Fuzz in it. After messing around with different amps and pedals I don't know anything anymore. 🤣
Edit: Just saw their at home set. Orange and Marshall amps, Friedman cabinets. I see two Fuzz pedals in front of the guitar guy in the back, who I guess play the Marshall. Well, that's it then I guess. xD

Grrr. Hatte mal eben wieder auf Facebook die hirnrissige "N***rkuss"-Debatte.

Noch mal für alle zum Mitschreiben: Ja, "niger" war ursprünglich Lateinisch für "schwarz".

Aber für Menschen wurde das Wort erst großflächig in Portugal und Spanien verwendet - zur Zeit des aufkommenden transatlantischen Sklavenhandels. Und von dort hat es sich ins restliche Europa ausgebreitet.

Oder anders gesagt: Das Wort "N***r" war im Deutschen immer schon vorbelastet - es war kein "Direktimport" aus dem Lateinischen.

Außerdem: Wenn eine Gruppe nicht will, dass sie mit einem bestimmten Wort bezeichnet werden will, dann ist das einfach normaler Anstand, dies nicht zu tun. Also, warum kommt diese Debatte immer wieder hoch?

    I was just robbed for the first time in my life.

    Next to a grocery store, two young men asked me if I could change €20 for them. I rummaged in my wallet, and one of the guys distracted me by rummaging in his wallet and discussing what kind of change he needed.

    Then the other guy ripped all my banknotes out of my pocket, and they ran away. Since it was dark, I didn't notice any useful details. I reported this to the police, but don't expect to see those €300 again.

    Ich leite morgen wohl meine erste D&D Runde — für Kinder, auf Wunsch.

    Habt ihr einen Tipp für den schnellen Einstieg?

    Eine Abenteueridee habe ich, ich brauche einen guten Weg, um schnell klassische Chars für Kinder zu haben, die von der Ersten der Wache angestellt werden, um einen von einer der Dunkelheit anheimgefallenen Zwergensippe gefangenen Drachen zu befreien?

    Und habt ihr Tipps für ähnliche Einstiegsabenteuer zur Inspiration für Kämpfe?

    @ArneBab Mit Kids spielen ist meist echt großartig. Viel mehr in character ganz ohne Absicht, viel mehr Party. Ich erinner mich immer gern an den Magier, der nicht einmal gezaubert, aber alles mit seinem Stock verkloppt hat. :) @juergen_hubert
