I have a special connection to as it's the last place where I went with my beloved Gunnar. Gunnar was truly the best dog ever. He's been gone since March of last year but sometimes the comes on so suddenly that it's like being punched in the gut. I miss him terribly & I treasure my memories of walking through the prairie grass and sitting by the river.

No one has asked me, but I propose "Minnesota Fierce" as the permanent name of Minnesota. Much like how the () and () have distinct names that pair together well, I think and would make a great duo and "Fierce" is evocative of a competitive, brave team.

They did Dukat dirty by turning him into a moustache-twirling literal devil instead of pursuing the far more interesting idea that Dukat really and truly believed he was doing the right thing by Cardassia and Bajorans. He obviously wasn't, but his claim that he was "humane as possible" and protecting his own culture and acting out of necessity is far more intriguing than becoming just pure evil incarnate.

    That Wild game was insane. It had everything: Fights, coaches on the ice, rollercoaster of penalties, dual goalie changes, empty net goals...a nail biting conclusion. Wow.

    So glad the #MinnesotaWild won, but worried about #MarcAndreFleury leaving with an injury.

    This is what it is like to teach in so many places in the United States.Grinding poverty,the lack of social services & public investment, and indifference of those in power to the marginalized, as well asthe lie of the "American Dream" are a toxic combination. We end up spending out of pocket just so a kid can have some gloves or a snack.Meanwhile you have governors turning down FOOD FOR CHILDREN!

    Last week I noticed a bunch of students without winter gloves

    Two days ago I gave my students winter gloves

    Today one of those students came in with one glove

    I asked him if something happened to the glove

    He said he gave one glove to his younger brother so that each of them would have one

    Tomorrow I will bring more gloves
