I’m not someone who complains when things change but wtf SONOS. Their new app forces me to re-authorize with Apple Music and then just hangs there. The SONOS Reddit is just people complain about their favorite feature being broken but I literally can’t play music anymore. 🫠

Yes I tried multiple devices, rebooting, and reinstalling the app.

@bmispelon oh, this is awesome, for years one of the things I do is write a forum and try to optimize the hell out of getting the related information. Django has gotten better and better but this trick might be the final bit needed to do things in a single query without weird triggers/signals to update related tables when needed.

@bmispelon nice, use factoryboy a lot and usually I create a ArticleNoAuthor factory, then extend it and add the author there, but this is much nicer!

"Oh yeah," you think. Obvious scam, right?

The caller says "I'll send you an in-app notification to prove I'm calling from your bank."

The computer is use daily is a ~7 year old laptop with a somewhat small SSD. I'm not very good at pruning docker images, so I've been routinely low on storage space.

Well today I completely ran out. The reason? I was running the build script for a PaaS command-line tool and it consumed over 4Gb of storage space.
4Gb. For a CLI tool.

What a tech world we made 💩🔥💻

@sarahboyce I'm wondering how permissions on relations work, most API's are great if you can crud everything or nothing, but nuances where you can create object B with a relation to object A where the choice for which A's you are to link to are often not mentioned at all. Also how the UI would know which options to show without implementing the same logic as on the server.

Once again, I’m watching a discussion of ppl stipulating PyPA/Python core/Santa Claus to “just pick one packaging workflow tool and go with it” and once again I have to remind everyone that the main problem isn’t a grand conspiracy of someone not wanting to pick & make you suffer, but that due to Python complex history & broad audience, we’ve got many 90% solutions maintained by few people that solve the 90% important to them and that have no bandwidth/interest in fixing the last 10%.     @lzg I was once hired back at a company where I knew a lot of the why, but not of the how. The reason was that I sat in at a lot of the discussions/code reviews as an experienced python programmer but was actually working for another part of the company that got split off and sold.

    So I was a bit like the frozen caveman looking at how they misinterpreted a lot of things
