I've seen this image many times & it just occurred to me to follow up on its tongue colour. I had thought maybe it had eaten a treat that had coloured it, but, holy Hannah, polar bears have blue tongues. Well, they range from black to purple to blue & they are born with pink tongues that start to darken after a couple of months. (They also have dark skin, helps protect against the sun’s UV rays.) I haven't been this surprised since learning beavers have orange teeth.)
