I don't know if i took my pills today, and the pill box was in a slightly wonky almost empty state because i forgot to take some evening pills last Wednesday. Double dosing on hormones would probably be ok, but double dosing on my ADHD meds? Uh... 🤷‍♀️ i dunno. Probably ok?

I have some slightly lower dose pills from when my script was lower. Maybe i take pills but use the lower dose ADHD med in case I've already taken it?

movation,
@movation@fnordon.de avatar

@masukomi don't know how often you take your meds but I've read about timer caps that will show when a bottle has been opened last. maybe that could be useful?
(which of course works only in the US since in Europe there is no such thing as bottled medication)

Today I prepared loose leaf tea one handed while holding a 16lb (~7.25kg) cat‡. So regardless of what else happens today. I've accomplished something. 😉

‡ i gave her a sniff of the leaves and she approves of Golden Monkey.

(I might throw some money on fine teas again... lesigh)

Why is it that when I type “thanks” the phone suggests the “praying hands” emoji 🙏 instead of the bowing emoji 🙇‍♀️

Living in the United States, where my phones software was written, I have literally never encountered a human being who did the praying hands gesture when they said thank you. I don’t think I’ve even seen it on TV or movies. However, I have seen Japanese people bow.

A) why?

B) is there a culture that actually does 🙏 when they say thank you, and if so, what is it?

movation,
@movation@fnordon.de avatar

@masukomi B) - the wai (a kind of praying gesture) is used in Thailand for multiple purposes, one of them is saying thank you (but still accompanied by the words ). The usage of that emoji has me baffled, too

So in total our trip was about 320KM across the country and we only came cross 2 US-style trucks!

They immediately stand out since they are just massive, loud and look like rolling crap

We laughed at them like many people do here :bloblaugh:

One had to have super low self-esteem to drive such a "look at my balls" truck here in the Netherlands

Happy I'm not in the US where this is "normal" :nkoFacepalm2:

@stux so as a dick-less person I would need to drive what? A bus? A 16-wheeler? 😉

Was macht eigentlich Lothar Matthäus so?

Sehenswertes Museum, u.a. viel Drucktechnik und Gummiverarbeitung.

movation,
@movation@fnordon.de avatar

Abgebrochen: Dorota Maslowska, "Bowie in Warschau"

Nick Offerman, "Paddle Your Own Canoe", gesprochen vom Autor.

@bookstodon

Sitting weird on a book that I enjoyed and it was fine. But also not sure how I feel about finding the author has used exclusively AI art to promote it. I'm not trying to be a Luddite here. Sincerely. My daytime career is in tech. AI is a tool, but used in this way? Feels weird? Curious what @smutstodon and @bookstodon thinks

Personal day 12
Organics Studio Ernest Hemingway Santiago’s Sea Blue

Today’s ink is a deep marine blue from Organics Studio’s Masters of Writing series of heavy sheeners. The ink’s name refers to Hemingway’s novella An Old Man and the Sea.

Crazy sheen on Tomoe River or Midori, but some sheen even on less sheen-prone papers like Clairefontaine.

Pen: Sailor Hocoro 1.0
Paper: Clairefontaine 90 gsm / Tomoe River original 52 gsm
