βFactual accuracy in large language models remains an area of active researchβ
In a normal world, with normal people, you'd fall about laughing if you read the above and heard that this is the Great AI everyone is gushing about. But AI is a grift, a con, a giant scam, so it doesn't play by normal rules. It plays by the rules of the grifter and the tech magician.
We all know how important it is to produce precise music. It's more important than anything else. Ideas, harmonies, and arrangement are overrated. If the kick drum doesn't bang precisely and the sidechain doesn't grab accurately, then all the effort is for nothing.
This new German plugin is very precise and therefore good.
It's that time of year again, when I round up all the books I reviewed for my newsletter in the previous year. I posted 21 reviews last year, covering 31 books (there are two series in there!). I also published three books of my own last year (two novels and one nonfiction). A busy year in books!

One of the tracks I made for #FAWM 2024. It all came together within an hour. I took a bit more time for the mixdown. The recordings are from Berlin, Lichtenberg. I think the bleak apartment buildings and the industrial vibe really add something special to the track.
The project for #Bitwig will also be available here soon for Premium subscribers.
today I wanted to dive into the super important and interesting topic of sidechain compression. I'll use this video to do some tests, compare values, and maybe even bust a few myths. I also found a Bug!
Because I keep reading that creativity supposedly comes out of nowhere and that you just "make up" stuff. Here's the new font for Berlin. It also includes research on everything that influenced the new font. You gather data, like a #LLM or #ml and combine the best elements into something new. This is how creativity works. You imitate, you remix and combine.
Being active on Twitter means supporting the right-wing agenda. Right-wing trolling doesn't work without the left taking the bait. That's the engine behind political social media platforms. That's why right-wing sites like Parler, Gab, or Truth Social don't take off. There aren't any lefties there jumping through hoops, angrily reposting headlines and nonsense, confirming they've struck a nerve. #socialmedia#politics
Am I the only one feeling like there's a big shift happening in art, music, movies, and gaming? It's like we're moving towards more underground, indie, and smaller platforms. Big Social Media is crumbling, people are flocking back to forums or tiny networks.
In the video, I use the free plugin PaulXStretch 23 times. In each instance, I've recorded one note and a unique sound from the Korg Triton. Each instance also has a different recording length, different panning and stretches the sample differently. It's always great to see and hear how you can create soundscapes with such simple workflows.
Just snagged a new DenonSC Live console. Used to spin real vinyl years ago, but ended up selling it all. Now, I'm diving back in, and honestly, it's a blast without the hassle of lugging around records and dealing with turntables. Been playing around with some mixes in the evenings. Decided to record a little DnB mix I'm into. Check it out and enjoy!
