    @marcelias I always get confused with this 'black-white' thing. Who belongs to which part? Are mexican black or white? Or Indian, which part are they? South american, are white? Or black? Asian belong to which?

    If there's one thing US mainstream media could learn is that there's a whole lot more then just the two opposites. There's more then 'black or white', 'left or right', thick or thin' and -yes, I kid you not' there's actually 95% more people then just the extremists.

    Ich erzähl euch natürlich nichts neues, aber Sex Education ist das schönste, lustigste und warmherzigste Fernsehserien-Märchen, das ich jemals gesehen habe und Staffel 4 der perfekte Abschluss. Ich hab gelacht, geheult und mitgefiebert. Ich werde alle Figuren vermissen, vor allem Eric und Aimee. Fangt an zu gucken, wenn ihr die Serie noch nicht kennt. Macht glücklich!

    Heads up ☝️

    The picture below is of the famous symmetric jet HH212, emerging from a protostar in the outskirts of Orion.

    We discovered HH212 in 1993 & have studied it on & off ever since.

    This false-colour image was taken in a single filter covering the 2.12 micron emission line of molecular hydrogen & took almost five hours on the ESO VLT about 20 years ago 🔭

    Tomorrow, you’ll get to see how HH212 looks to 🛰️

    It’s better. Much better 🙂

    @MeeMee @yurnidiot I remember about 20 years ago there was this show 'the next big idea' where a guy came in and had build a electricity generator in a hometrainer, so while he was working out spinning it it would generate free electricity. Genius! But somehow they couldn't patent it. Somehow. Maybe because it was already patented by some electricity corp, who had interest in not using it. ;) It probably doesn't say anything about cat-powered generators though!

    The Netherlands officially began constructing a 1,200km-long hydrogen pipeline — amid a continent-wide push to wean Europe off natural gas.

    The first section of the pipeline will run from the Maasvlakte — a massive man-made extension of the Europoort in Rotterdam (Europe’s largest port) — some 30 km inland to a gas refinery in Pernis, run by petrochemical giant Shell. This phase is scheduled to open in 2025 at a cost of €100mn.

    @TheEuropeanNetwork Seeing how the Netherlands are one of the biggest US reliable countries in the EU, this seems a bit sceptic when they say they want to leave LNG (which the US is ramping up it's sales since 2016) I just hope they'll use it really for green hydrogen, and not grey hydrogen, created with LNG.

    France's Macron announces plans to enshrine abortion rights in constitution.

    In an online post, French President Emmanuel Macron said a draft project would be submitted to the State Council, France's highest administrative court, this coming week, with a view to making abortion rights constitutional by the end of the year.

    "In 2024, the right of women to choose abortion will become irreversible," he said.

    A good way to discover interesting posts on here is to follow hashtags. When you do this, posts with the tags will start showing up in your timeline even from accounts you don't follow.

    To follow a hashtag, just search for that hashtag, then click the "Follow" button at the top of the page of results for that tag.

    To check what you're following, go to your profile and select "followed hashtags" or #

    @fakeplastictree @feditips Since there are people wanting to post in different languages, how about a system where you ad the language in front of your name tag like for example english @en@instance and spanish @es@instance, so people know which version to follow to receive updates form you in their language. While posting you just select the language and it will add it to the right sub-timeline.

    This would -too- make it really easy to filter hashtags by language.

    @feditips Yes I understand the system and the bug, I just thought it would be a workaround and give an extra option to follow people who post in multiple languages on a selected language. But I understand it's not easy to just change something in the system ofcourse. Hope the bug'll be fixed soon!

    @themarkup 'Safety' and 'social' are 2 different departments.

    Call me stupid but I would be happy having extra police in my area if it's a hotspot. The uplifting work in a social way would come over time later, done by the social department.

    Finnish investigators say they believed an anchor of Chinese container ship NewNew Polar Bear was dislodged and caused the damage to the undersea BalticConnector gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia on the Baltic Sea earlier this month.

    The head of the investigation said in a news conference that a 1.5 to 4-meter-wide dragging trail on the seabed is seen to lead to the point of damage in the gas pipeline.
