Finally after many years of searching I found my favorite little peppermint candy. This is quite similar to the kind often at the hostess desk for a mint and a toothpick to go after the meal. Or at a doctor’s office or any small shop. The best thing is that it is a soft puff of peppermint flavor and not a hard candy. Red Bird has made it since 1890! You just reminded me of how, in school in some early grade, we would decorate tissue boxes with lace and such to make Valentine boxes. I think each kid was supposed to put valentines in all the other kids' boxes, but I don't know if it actually worked that way. I remember counting my valentines the night before, to make sure I had enough.
TIL Green gummie bears from Haribo are strawberry flavour (except for one specific variety where it is green apple). If you thought they were lime, think strawberry the next time you eat one, and pay no attention to the food colouring.
@skullvalanche I just tried to buy a REASONABLE amount of candy for tomorrow and I believe I did ok. Last year almost NO kids which was weird. Year before that, a lot. We even give away little toys! HOPING I dont have to eat all this candy, I got things we like just in case, I do NOT need these calories. Come on, kids! 🤣
