Just finished this 80s inspired jacket in satin: has two zipper welt pockets on front, and one exposed zipper pocket in lining. Closes with polished metal zipper and has rib at collar, cuffs and waist. Multi-color geometric piecing in two colors with top-stitch throughout. Yesterday I was very creative at our demonstration table in the museum: my first collage that isn't just paper & paint. There was no audience (people probably used the rare sunshine for outdoor events), but we had fun! Now some small embroidery in gold to finish it. I'd definitely like to see more textile-based collage from you! I had an idea a while ago about making composites of acrylic paint on canvas as well as embroidery and collage, but I had to stop because, firstly, I don't have the expertise for it and, secondly, I don't even know if it's possible 😛

@BenitaSkinner My favourite changes over time. Currently my mainstay is a nice 滇红茶 (Dian Hong tea, a Yunnan black) but I just got a sampler of a 雀古茶 (Quegu tea) a 毛尖 (maojian) green from 武夷山 (Mount Wuyi) that I'll be doing a photo-essay about (like the last one I did: https://pixelfed.social/i/web/post/691852919888906026) because it looks really special.
Is there a #leatherworking sector of Mastodon? I want to repair the top flap of a leather bag that's basically two pieces of leather back to back that have come apart at the side seam. I'm pretty sure I just need to trim loose threads, apply a glue and clamp it, but what glue is right for the job? I have Gorilla fabric glue and Shoe Gloo available right now, but would using either of those be a mistake? Any help is gratefully received!
Please welcome Elfkin exclusive model, Chad, showing off the second kaftan commissioned by Bernie. This is designer print silk chiffon with a solid raspberry chiffon liner. I even managed to work some of that bias tape in as a finish on the inner hem.
