Craft Project! I have a beloved Kobo Libra H2O. It has a proprietary case covered in a blue fake leather that began to flake. I took it off and for a while went with the cloth underneath. But that was beginning to fray and so I decided to fix it with my ninja bookmaking skills. Probably should have used a thinner cloth for the magnet but it looks beautiful!

This is a shrug I made for a friend, a garment meant to keep your shoulders warm. She wanted these colors, and I wanted to explore bias and short rows. This is my practice piece. I know it doesn't look like much, but this is how I worked out the techniques I wanted to use for a larger piece I'm creating. I just wanted to do something different, create a rectangle in a new way. This is like my scratch paper. I've been knitting and ripping out this bit of yarn for two weeks, and I'm SO HAPPY to finally be ready to proceed to the real thing now. Here's the next stage of the experimental cat yarn. I've spun a bit, and plied it into some lace weight. Next, I'll put it in a small skein, wash it, thwack it (technical term) and let it dry. Then I'll knit up a sample piece, and see what I've got. So far, it seems nice and soft.
