Another V/Line train trip today. I'm heading to Bendigo to have lunch with my brother. As you do. A bit easier now that the country train fares in Victoria Victoria have been capped at $10.60 per day.
@jamesbannan Just rock up. Same transport card (Myki) as used in Melbourne. Though once you get beyond 2 hours (or so) from Melbourne there are long-distance trains you need to buy a ticket for.

Yesterday, we went on a day trip to #Oxford by #train. No other means of powered transport was used as we #cycled to and from our local #RailwayStation.

Il devrait être possible de poursuivre son voyage en train grâce à des offres complémentaires de transport en commun et grâce à une bonne intermodalité avec l'usage du #vélo.
La compétitivité entre les modes devrait tenir compte des externalités négatives engendrées par chacun d'entre eux (bruit, émissions, impact sur la biodiversité).
Crazy morning. Had to take a car to amtrak this morning; there was an accident just before we got to the bridge which added ~45 minutes and I almost missed my 🚂 !
I was wearing my SF City FC scarf and my driver was very excited by it. We started chatting ⚽️, luckily he was from Oakland and knew all the shortcuts, so I got to the station about three minutes after the train and boarded it with a couple of minutes to spare!
Train 641 will depart Ottawa from Mondays to Thursdays at 4:19AM, and arrive in Toronto 8:48AM, with express service stops in Brockville, Kingston, Belleville, Cobourg, and Port Hope. Perfect for business commuters that need to make a 9AM meeting in The Big Smoke and a great alternative to the short-haul flight.
