If you needed another reason to be wary of : He's recently allied with Ron DeSantis in attacking lab grown meat.

There's no rational reason to hate lab-grown meat besides traditionalism, but plenty of reasons to attack - it's bad for the , animals are kept in horrible conditions, the government subsidizes it...

Fetterman even chooses a strangely Trumpian insult too: "Crash and Burn Ron."

Lunacy from the Cato Institute

I read it so you don't have to….

'Humans, especially those living in the countries on the frontier of innovation, create knowledge that allows us to grow our resources well in excess of the resources that we consume.’

It is laughable, but expect the ‘arguments' to be repeated by right wing politicians everywhere.

Earlier today the UK Government’s Secretary of State for Scotland, Alister Jack MP, announced that he will order ministers to plan for a nuclear reactor to be built in Scotland!

Scotland only has one operational nuclear site left, Torness, which will be decommissioned in 2028.

Will you help us tell Alistair Jack and the UK Government to keep nuclear out of Scotland?

Solicitor general to appeal over case of climate activist who held sign on jurors’ rights

https://www.theguardian.com/law/article/2024/may/15/trudi-warner-climate-activist-solicitor-general-appeal

The Conservatives are prepared to go to any length, to stifle dissent and overturn long established principles in English law.

The judge accused the government’s solicitor general of “significantly mischaracterising” the evidence, when his lawyers alleged Warner behaved in an intimidating manner, confronting potential jurors outside the court.

I can't seem to get people to take ecological collapse seriously, even some in the scientific community. They think it is 'extremist' and 'politically-driven'. Everything is politics, including denialism and ignorance. Every move we make as a society and individual is politics. We don't need to analyses the dipiction's level and types to see its spirit. The spirit is correct.
