@SallyStrange@kylewritescode I think I need to disagree with you. I don’t think it’s fair to expect the average meta user to jump into mastodon (or other fedi). It’s our job to educate people and show viable alternatives. If we block threads outright, we are no longer an alternative and the incentive to jump ship disappears completely.
I don’t think blocking an entire platform is an effective form of moderation, and is in fact harmful for the reason mentioned.
