If you want a Federated Youtube experience, try Peertube.

309 videos mostly all over a gig each. PeerTube is designed to share the load amongst viewers. You'll be fine.

@flockofnazguls take a peek at handbrake, take your stream recording and you can get the video filesize down to bottom dollar. There is also hosting your own for a few cents per hour. Take a look at elest.io easily spin up a VPS and docker a peertube up faster than your DNS can propagate heh. Choose from server providers and dozens of locations, backup the app data and even hop providers/locations.
