The one thing that works now is that threads.net can dump content here and that’s all. No interaction, no moderation, no nothing. We are just a content dump. With a vague, pinky-swear promise that more integration might happen at some point in the future.
@jwildeboer OK, didn't know that they don't speak full ActivityPub (are they planning it?), but then, it's up to your users to decide if this is still attractive.
So please stop saying that for example Biden joined the fediverse. He didn’t. His threads.net account flicked the “also dump posts via ActivityPub” switch. And that’s all that happened. Facebook however loves it when you fall for their spindoctoring by repeating their falsehood of someone “joining” the fediverse via threads.net.
