I'm guessing Chubb called dibs on all the assets of any value, so there was nothing left for any others get as collateral for his NY judgement.

My understanding is none of them want real estate. Selling it would be a hassle and they don't want to operate it. So it would be just junk. They want assurance of cold hard cash, or securities like stocks and bonds. Chubb probably got whatever there is of that, from t and/or cosigner(s) like Murdoch Musk, DeVos, Koch etm. They all hate him but love his tax cuts.

A thing I'm not getting is, why are Trump's lawyers filing this sob story? Like, what is the court supposed to do? Just stay collection anyhow?
@GottaLaff@obot50549535 It’s the only play they have left — and worth a try even if they do have a bond lined up, because reducing the size of the bond saves money.
@GottaLaff@DrollTide I think it shows that Chubb is indeed as they claim not concerned about the rights and wrongs of the cases. They will make a ton of money from the well-secured EJC bond, but there’s nothing left to secure the NY fraud bond, so they’ve said no.
