Former Trump official William Wolfe warned that Christians are getting close to “heed the call to arms.”

Why?

He said Christians are “in danger by the loss of our religion”

Honey. No amount of persecution fetish and AR-15 pins is going to save a crazed minority from getting a beat down from the United States armed forces

I double dog dare you.

@flexghost Rings a bell, documentary Praying for Armageddon. Especially now.

Because Christian Nationalists are in the armed forces, too.

I believe these Christian lunatics when they say they want to destroy civil societies and the rest of us.

punissuer,

@flexghost what does a Christian's response to a call to arms even look like? Didn't Jesus urge them them to turn their other cheeks?

vegangster,

@flexghost That's like Sean Hannity believing MMA will help him with an armed gunman. https://youtu.be/OQvNdBKroPU?si=4MzLBRVUWb24CzfQ

Virginicus,

@flexghost If the government wants to oppress someone, they’ll cut off his utilities and freeze his bank accounts. I have occasionally asked right-wingers how a gun will help that. Best answer I’ve gotten was “they can’t do that to all of us!”

utbluegirl,

@flexghost
There are over 2.3 billion Christians in the world and there are 15 million Jews in the world.

conditional_soup,

@flexghost speaking as a former Christian, they've already lost their religion, but they did it to themselves. Whatever all this is, it's not Christianity. American evangelism is, in its practice, virtually divorced in every facet from what Jesus actually taught.

peteorrall,

@flexghost People are leaving Christianity in droves because, regardless of denomination, the organizations are rife with blatant hypocrisy and corruption.

The drivel which pours (or emanates) from its leaders thoroughly demonstrates these organizations not only are willfully and purposefully choosing to stay stuck in the past, but profit from the social divisions and exclusivity.

No, not all of Christianity has devolved into this toxic anti-Christian mess. It's fair to point that out as well as religion itself isn't necessarily the problem, it's what people do with it.

hapbt,

@flexghost no one can destroy christianity better than christians

@flexghost

These Bible thumpers should actually read the Bible..

Jamie

NovemberMan,

@flexghost 🙄

Btw, those are NOT Christians, those are

Go ahead, fake Christians, try an armed uprising. We'll beat you down like a Sunday morning boner. Fuck your assault rifles.

@flexghost Zealotry replaces and . Extremism is being normalized by a media who sees extremism winning and wants to ensure to . We’re in deep trouble.

@flexghost ANYONE remember WACO? Christian crazies should read some history!

enoch,

@flexghost 😂 these pussies have been talking shit for years now. They’ll never actually do anything bc they’re all talk. They couldn’t go one day without their creature comforts and amenities

Roundcat,

@flexghost Here’s what people tend to overlook when people think Christian nationalist will get stomped by the US armed forces, law enforcement, agencies.

Many of them ARE in our armed forces, law enforcements, and angencies.

Y’all need to realize most Christian Nationalists aren’t just Cletus’ with hunting rifles and pick up trucks. That it’s actually a well armed well funded movement by wealthy people, and has been making massive political gains in the last 3 years.

BonehouseWasps,

@Roundcat @flexghost This is my concern. We always imagine that the US military would be wholly on 'our' side in a civil war. And I'm not convinced that's the case.

BlueDot,

@flexghost

I think they have no intention of engaging the U.S. military. The targets will be their defenseless neighbors.

I am getting real close to hoping they do start some shit. Enough that they can be identified as an organized insurrection and rounded up.

@flexghost The religion has been lost already by those who disgrace it.

By violence.
By abuse.
By manipulation and deception.
By most of those who call themselves Christian and yet follow this sort of crap.

Oh no, Americans are becoming less religious every day, which means we’re losing our influence and are slowly becoming (GASP) a minority!! Better rile up the base so they will mow folks down with their guns while we use the shrinking political power we have left to gerrymander ourselves into permanent strangleholds before it’s too late!!!

@flexghost those AR-15 pins give off major small dick energy in my opinion. So I guess they are very fitting for the GOP.

flexghost,

@CoachMark most of them are all talking big but will back down but that crazy few that slip through and commit acts of violence…

Wufflekins, (edited )
@Wufflekins@mastodon.social avatar

@flexghost @CoachMark I mean, I'm from the UK so I don't have the culturally ingrained love of weaponry that the US has but, TBH, we all grew up running around playing 'army' kind of thing until around 9-10 years old.

(not that I'm saying Republicans have the mental age of a 9 year old. That would be a disservice against 9 year old)
