@GottaLaff@artemesia There may be a few Never Trump Rs who also made this mistake. But that is immaterial given that their number is much fewer than Democrats and liberals who are against Trump.
If the main group of people fighting for our democracy do not understand our enemy and how they operate, if they have rose colored glasses on all the time then it becomes extremely depressing. It's like one side in a war who perpetually go to battle thinking the other side is gonna lay down their arms.

WHAT THIS MEANS: If the court rules relatively quickly, and if it rules against Trump, it could tee up his trial for August or September. But the trial is unlikely to come much earlier than that, given Chutkan's promise to ensure he has another few months of prep.

@GottaLaff If the trial is active in the late summer and fall, then from the day jury selection starts until the day the verdict comes in, Citizen Trump’s butt will be stuck in that court room.
And include all the money and contributions diverted to his legal fees. Not how I’d want to run a campaign.

Even without the prior court rulings this seems like a pretty easy “no.”
We dumped a king for a “better” system of government. I mean, even if you want to go with the “constitution was for rich white land owners only”, it was all rich white landowners. Not just George.
@GottaLaff No way there will be a J6 trial b4 November. Trump will appeal every word that comes out of Jack Smith's mouth, and the court system will at best enable his stalling tactics, and the worst (Judge Cannon, Supreme Court) actively assist them.
