You may disagree fervently with Pres. Biden's Israel policies, and that's fine. But if you come into my feed calling him "Genocide Joe" or any variation on that theme, you're blocked.

I've already had to block a few accounts for this.

Pres. Biden is not "for genocide." I will not argue with you on this topic, nor do I discuss the Israel/Hamas war here.

But I will not tolerate accusations of "genocide" by Pres. Biden. He's not "pro genocide."

There's a myth that McConnell doesn't like Trump. It's bullshit. McConnell would literally die for Trump if necessary. And so would almost every other elected Republican.

There is no such thing as a "moderate" or "non-insurrectionist" member of a revolutionary fascist party.

60% of Iowa GOP caucus goers believe that the election was stolen from Trump. But y'all wanna say "Ban TikTok because disinformation?" 🤡

Y'all are not serious.

The real, dangerous disinformation, is coming from traditional media channels and places like Twitter, and it is in service of white nationalism, and its primary victims are Black people. But we don't want to talk about that. We just want to yell "Ban TikTok!"

notabird,
@notabird@mstdn.social avatar

@mekkaokereke While privacy on TikTok is a real concern, the ban idea is propelled partly by racism and wanting to hurt the younger voters. Any solution that doesn't target a generic problem, but rather on a specific entity, then that is targeting due to unsaid reasons.

People like to say that "AI" is different from crypto in that there are actual useful applications, and that's true. But the vast majority of people you're expecting to come up with those applications are the same people who were just trying to build products on the blockchain.

notabird,

@misc Pretty easy to disprove your message. None of the established tech companies got into the crypto, blockchain hype. They had the resources, but they didn't. They are investing like crazy on AI. I have heard a lot of respected technical people get on board. Scams and hypes are an everyday thing for Wall Street. Just because someone is scamming, doesn't mean there isn't an actual good product elsewhere.

Paragraph #1: He tells the court that if he can be indicted there will be no end to it. Presidents will be indicted for decades! It will be a parade of horribles!

(Assumption: This is a purely political.)

#2 is the doozy.
Basically, Dear Court: You have no power to sit in judgment of MEEEE.

It's laughably absurd.

What do you think will happen to the Colorado ruling? That one has been a mixed ruling from the courts so far, with only the CO SC ruling against him.
