Me: Next Friday.
Student: When do we come back?
Me: April 8th.
Student: That's a long time to have off.
Me: Yeah, it's a pretty good break.
Student: I didn't mean it like that.
Me: How did you mean it?
Student: (quietly) Would it be possible for me to bring snacks home for me and my brother?
Me: Of course! We'll pack up all your favorites!
Me: (remembering not everyone looks forward to school breaks) We'll pack up your brother's favorites too.
