Everything looks like a train in DB Navigator - live running, conveys bikes, has platform numbers. But then “Train replacement bus” is stated. I assume that’s an error?
@jon I assume both buses will wait for each other at Kehl. But I don't see any reason why they can't run through. It isn't a problem between Müllheim and Mulhouse where TER buses from French operator Kunegel are running on both sides of the border. More annoying, they don't wait for the last TGV from Paris (arrival at 22:25, departure also at 22:25) and are too late in Offenburg the last ICE to Freiburg and Basel. Normally a connection that would work without any problems. @partim@guenther

You get the impression from today's Tories (Sunak, Truss et al) that they don't really like Britain or its people very much. They regard the British people as lazy, "woke", workshy and ungrateful.
Hence all their talk about doing away with doctors' sick notes, discouraging work-from-home, "Singapore on the Thames" etc. They would much rather be governing an imaginary authoritarian country somewhere in Asia with zero workers rights.

The 'green movement' and 'peace movement' don't exist, or at least not in the way most people think these movements exist.
The term movement is really inspiring. It has the air of a huge wave of people moving towards reaching some goal. Unfortunately I think people expect the wrong things from most movements called 'peace' or 'green' (or climate) and that leads to a lot of confusion and wasted energy.
People generally conflate protest movements like this with social movements.
@jon@YimbyEarth it's rather common that those in charge of systems that consume APIs don't read the emails about any changes and deprecations. The change may have been announced a year ago without the SNCF reacting.
Having a charge-the-collection day. Every time I do this iPod I forget it's a HD based machine until partway through it fires up the drive with a noise that sounds like the ones that early morning huntsman spiders make when they click to each other on the walls.
@engagedpractx@NanoRaptor The male apparently “ticks” with its abdomen like a clock when it wants to mate with a female. In a quiet room it is audible.
@jpm have you seen what's available at a good Chinese grocer? Not just shiitake, they often have chanterelle, morel, blazei, bamboo fungus (really funky!), monkey head / lion's mane, tea tree, velvet antler, nameko. Great flavours.
Of course, also snow fungus and black fungus, but they're more for texture than flavour.
Not getting me to try the cordyceps any time soon though.
