A limited edition 11ty Merch Bundle is now available. (Yes, it has stickers 👀)
This store is in partnership with #11tyConf—conference swag, but only for people that really want it. It will only remain open until April 5th to fulfill orders for the conference—so get your orders in now!
Not sure how many people read to the end of articles these days, but I have to say I was quite pleased with my final paragraph ;)
"Perhaps it’s that feeling of being subversive — kicking against the platform pricks — and going back to our roots as a web developer community that has led to the Eleventy Renaissance. All I can say is: vive la résistance!"
Say your site styles are responding to the prefers-contrast: less media query. Must they still conform to the relevant 4.5:1 and 3:1 contrast ratios when the media query is active?
Planning on doing a full #11tyConf Organizer retrospective blog post, but in the interest of transparency here’s a peek at the conference budget (funded primarily by our Open Collective, prices in USD):
Expenses: $7574.20
Revenue: $4653.79 (Free event, but via sponsors and merch)
Profit: -$2920.41
#11tyConf has wrapped and I am so humbled by the response to this event. The incredible speakers, the incredible audience, the incredible organizers — y’all are amazing.
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this community.
> Something that's marked with the patina of age, and the utility of a work-a-day website.
I like that. I'm not sure exactly how a website has patina but equally I think I could tell you, when I come across one that does. I also like the idea of a work a day website. Utilitarian, does the job for maybe a small company, just to establish their presence on the web.
I'm still hyped about everything that happened at #11tyconf. The talks were so great, and I'm once again keen to try out @eleventy in new ways.
Especially interested to try out the new ‘Eleventy Transform' option within the Eleventy Image plugin, allowing you to transform any <img> automatically into something more performant https://www.11ty.dev/docs/plugins/image/#eleventy-transform

I kinda hoped for more talks regarding accessibility and user experience...
A big thank you to all speakers! @eleventy
