Done with my first speed cubing competition. It was a small group of better than average solvers. I came in 23rd of 23 with an average solving time of 1:10. Asuka has both won her Round One match against Botan as well as the implicit eternal match between Asuka and Rei. She also, along with Lum, is the final representative of any girl from any series made prior to the 2000's. With such stats, the red headed Eva pilot will be a tough opponent for the sensha-dō tank driver.
ChristJuinor offers an alt reason for liking Asuka: "Asuka might be a raging cunt, but because of that and her great looks she's also outrageously Correctable, providing her with fierce, raw appeal that transcends the mediocrity of her overrated show."

** RR 23. Anchovy / Girls und Panzer **
It's hard to measure Anchovy's performance in the main tournament though, as her opponent, Kurumi, received the least amount of votes in Round One and in the whole Main Tournament thus far. Still, Anchovy did well enough in the Royal Rumble match. She is also the sole representative of Girls und Panzer, which has many fans on the Fediverse, and is a better and clearer representative of Anime Fascism than Asuka. Both girls will fight hard and well today. I can feel it.
ChristJuinor gives a succinct summary of Anchovy's qualities: "Italian, Fascist, nice hair, nice tummy, what's there not to like?" Mmmmm! Fascist pizza girl tummy!

Today was one of the last lessons of my #GPGPU course at the University, and I double-checked with my students if by their account we only had one more scheduled lessons to go (on Monday). I discovered that one of my students kept an accurate log of all the lessons. Problem is, I was sure today we were at the 23rd lessons (so one more lesson to go after today), and he was sure we were at lesson #22 (two lessons to go).
(Some of you may already be guessing where this is going.)

This strikes me as a bad recommendation. While pixels are abstract their sizing doesn't relate to a good font size. It seems that 1rem should be the recommended font size, as that is literally the font size that the user has configured.
Overriding the user's configured preference without a strong reason seems like a bad default to recommended.
