I am absolutely shocked that Ruka is handled as well as she is in #SteinsGate. The story was written in 2009 and the #anime came out in 2011.
Don't get me wrong, it's quite cringe by today's standards but a character directly saying "I think I was supposed to be a girl" then using time travel to try to get her mom to eat something different while pregnant is a very raw emotional beat even if the other characters are dismissive, insulting, and fetishizing her.
I'm halfway into #KemonoNoSoujaErin, and it's such a fantastic #anime. Honestly, I think it's just as good as #SeireiNoMoribito. The visuals are relatively simple, but not in a bad way, and the backgrounds are actually kind of... aesthetically unique? Like, you can tell it's probably not a high-budget series, but the buildings, for example, are interesting to look at. They're somewhat roughly drawn, but it's a very... clever and artistic kind of roughness? Er, I'm not sure how to explain it.
Dear lazyweb, I'm looking for a #mecha#anime that I saw once a few scenes of. What I remember is that it was one of those more "realistic" ones (tacticool) like Patlabor or Madox, not colorful, and that there were scenes of a Kabuki dancer with a mask, a mane of red hair, and a fan performing some sort of a summoning ritual. The dancer looked a lot like Senryo Kyoshiro from Samurai Showdown. Any ideas?
Tailler des ardoises décoratives. Mais pas comme j'ai l'habitude d'en voir (cœur, croissant de Lune, étoile). Aller le plus loin possible pour tester la résistance du matériau, quitte à tout briser dans les derniers coups de marteau...
“I know, Sayaka... it sucks to be alone. Believe me, I know. But it's ok, now. 'Cause I’m here with you, Sayaka."
I think I vastly underrated the subplot of Kyoko Sakura and Sayaka Miki when I first watched Madoka Magica.
From the clashes of Sayaka's sense of justice and Kyoko's faith, to the way they inspired each other while not realizing it, to the way they almost save each other, and to the way they actually do... there was some really cool storytelling going on!
Kazuma reunites with the goddess Eris, who gives him an important job, in KonoSuba 3 Episode 5. What did you think of their reunion? I thought it was the funniest thing I've seen all season.
Girls Band Cry is the fantasy of having somebody who cares when you have a trauma-based meltdown while out with them and will go after you to find out what's wrong instead of continuing the fun without you, oblivious to your distress
i never thought Mei was anything other than a weirdo stalker whose main role was comic relief, so I never thought of her as a real romantic rival, but the memes that have come out about her getting corked/girlblocked by The Kiss™ are very funny, esp since the official promo material even gets in on it xD
