Debatte über EU-Atombomben nach Äußerung von Barley

An der Verlässlichkeit der USA als NATO-Partner bestehen seit einer Trump-Rede große Zweifel. SPD-Europakandidatin Barley bringt deshalb EU-eigene Atombomben ins Spiel. Brandgefährlich sei das, kritisiert ein Parteigenosse.

So, I had to talk about ! A warrior society focused on war, women had more rights than their counterparts -- and were encouraged to be physically fit and prepared to fight to defend their homeland.

Sparta

Unlike their Greek counterparts, the women of Sparta had a lot more freedom and status. They were educated, since they would be in charge of keeping the homeland running smoothly while the men were at war – but they were also strong and able to defend themselves and their homeland.

Spartan men and women lived in separate quarters – even while married. Married couples would leave their respective quarters to procreate, and Spartan wives were required to have short hair and sometimes wore men’s clothing.

Amongst married couples, the Spartans were relatively , and women were not punished for infidelity.

Something I would love to know more about are the . But thanks to the cult's secrecy (and ), we may never know all the details...

There were two Eleusinian rites – the Lesser One, and the Greater One. I like the black lentil + purple barley combination. This morning I had an inspiration: I shall make another batch — 1.75 cups black lentils and 1.75 cups purple barley (measured before cooking and cooked separately), and as I mix in the starter culture, I'll also mix in 1/2 cup sprouted sunflower seed.

Just for variety.

Great idea. Let us know how it works out.
Do you sprout the hulled sunflower seeds?

I had a bit, sautéed with some veggies for dinner. It's very good tempeh. The full story of this batch is in this post:

My difficulty is keeping the tempeh cool enough. Once it gets going, it gets far too hot. My current batch is 41°C (interior temperature), but the edges feel cool and are not yet entirely ready. It's sitting on a rack in a cool room. The culture gets killed at high temps.
What would you do in this situation?

It's close to done. Photo below shows it at 73 hours, but I'll let it go for a few more hours. The temperature toward the center, measured with an infrared thermometer, is 97.4fºF / 36.3ºC.

You can see an image compare with a slider at the bottom of this post:

At the bottom of this post on the blog is a slider to allow easy comparison of the batch at 24 hours vs. the batch at 48 hours.

As noted in the post, I will got at least another 24 hours and probably 30 hours to get as much mycelium growth as possible.

It's still being incubated, though I'm about to turn off the warming mat and open the lid a little. But the fungus has really established itself now.

I am always fascinated to watch the progress of its growth.

I'm making a new batch of BROL (1 cup each of barley, rye, and oats cooked & mixed with 1 cup of cooked beluga lentils). I'm using purple barley this time. Purple barley is a hull-less variety.
