Texas man recounts wife's #miscarriage experience under new #abortion restrictions >>>
"What are we supposed to do?...They feel scared - the doctors feel scared."
"Everything that's she's having to do right now to get better... it's not just a reminder of the baby we lost, it's a reminder of what they put her through."
Christian Nationalism is a giant threat to our country. A danger to women, to minorities, to the marginalized and to democracy itself. While these white, Christian nationalists believe they’re saving the country from heathenism, what they’re really offering is a theocracy of top down control with themselves at the top. We must see this threat for what it is, and that starts with understanding. Tim Whitaker is the founder of the New Evangelicals, an inclusive, Jesus-centered community that holds space for those marginalized by the evangelical church and advocates for systemic change. Raised deep in the evangelical world – Tim had a crisis of faith watching his church leaders embrace a man who was so antithetical to what he had been taught to believe. He now holds the toxic churches and their leaders accountable, while still offering a home of faith to his fellow Christians. Please join us for this incredibly engaging conversation. From NCJW:
Next week, the Senate will vote on The Right to Contraception Act which would uphold the right to access contraception, first recognized by the Supreme Court in Griswold v. Connecticut in 1965. The Right to Contraception Act would safeguard a person's right to seek and obtain birth control, even if the Supreme Court were to ever overturn the existing constitutional protection.
We need your voice in this fight. Take action today and tell Congress to support the Right to Contraception Act. Our Jewish movement has our own playbook: everyone deserves access to basic health care, including abortion care and contraceptives. Let’s get out there and play.

Leonard Leo is a RW political powerhouse, & his vision is being effectuated bc he was able to steer an unfathomable amount of money toward those goals.
"He captured the judges, the courts, Heritage Foundation - now going for law schools."
-A Nelson
Leo advised on every conservative nomination to the SC since Chief Justice John Roberts.
Evangelicals were duped decades ago. Current GOP pol leaders know how to coalesce those radicalized adherents to win via the EC🚨.
Smoking gun: Paul Weyrich manifesto. Weyrich realized his plan wouldn't succeed in creating a Christian nation thru democracy. Solution: bypass & dismantle it, using racism, abortion... Pol leaders succeeded in their sinister plan. They understood the power of evangelicals/fundamentalists & RW talk radio & #socialmedia.
' According to speaker notes accompanying one slide, teachers were told that "Christianity challenged the notion that religion should be subservient to the goals of the state ..." That slide quotes the Bible to assert that "[c]ivil government must be respected, but the state is not God." Teachers were told the same principle is embedded in the Declaration of Independence. '
@KimPerales Interesting. I learned a few things. Didn't know what that pine tree flag that Alito was flying represented. Also, hadn't heard the term 'spiritual warfare.' Sobering. (As if one wasn't sober enough at the moment.)
If you want to learn more about the New Apostolic Reformation (Alito's flag suppliers), start with these five podcasts "Charismatic Revival Fury," featured on the Straight White American Jesus podcast. Here is the first episode, there are five total. Or use your podcast app:
Samuel Alito loves his flags! A second flag, this one showing a pine tree and the words "An Appeal to Heaven," was photographed flying outside his beach house. That flag is the same as those carried by #insurrectionists on J6 and has been associated with Christian Nationalism.
#Republican members of #Congress & state ofcls have displayed the #flag as well, among them #DougMastriano, a PA state senator & a leader of the “Stop the Steal” campaign. The highest-ranking elected ofcl known to show the flag is Rep #MikeJohnson, who hung it at his office last fall shortly after becoming #speaker of the #House.
