Looking up "Drupal" and "Notion" and I'm finding how to integrate with the Notion API and I'm like you don't understand I didn't want to work with Notion I wanted to reimplement Notion.

It's okay the urge passed. Just one of those ADHD "I've got a brilliant idea" moments

@kevin @randomgeek @codinghorror Yes, with its block editor where almost everything but registering a plugin is done in . Or the WordPress.com and desktop frontend which is all

The past five years have seen an explosion of projects, including ones that drive the API provided by WordPress’ core.

In short, JavaScript is eating WordPress too.

If anyone is inspired to create a possibly first-of-its-kind accessible CMS, check out the W3C ATAG standards. Check out @hdv's write-up: https://hidde.blog/content-creation-accessibility/

CMS and accessibility people: Is there a CMS that was created with accessibility from the start?

I think directus.io deserves more attention! My team and i are using it for an upcoming web project with some spillage into a few potential apps on large displays. It's an absolute joy to use. Very thoughtfully put together, fast, opensource ... what's not to like? Give it a look, they have evolved a lot!

OKAY FRIENDS. I'm looking for THE SIMPLEST, most straight-forward . No clever template engine, no plugins, just something that allows me to build a simple HTML website with the basics (text, images, links, chronological "blog" posts, maybe a contact form, if even) and allows several users to contribute to website content.

Drop em like they're hot!

Is there such a thing as that doesn't run on a webserver but rather can just sync between users on a cloud desktop sync like or ?

I'm trying to put together a simple internal relational database-style site to share with my team without spinning up yet another cloud app to do it.

It would have tags, categories, a couple views of the data, and an input form. I know how to build such a thing in but trying to do it with minimal IT fuss or muss.

Between other various work and adulting tasks today I walked through the rubyonrails.org tutorial where you can build this mini thingy with a db and some pretty basic stuff like comments and a very hackable userpass. Having walked through similar exercises in the past 2 years for both React and C# for various misguided projects, this was by far the most intuitive, and I think that's only a little bit because I'm a better developer. There's a reason people are using now.

It's not a CMS, mind.

It's a DXP -- Digital eXperience Platform.

Remember ""? promised us that was a prelude to a Stalinist nightmare in which unaccountable bureaucrats decided who lived or died based on a cost-benefit analysis of what it would cost to keep you alive versus how much your life was worth.

After all, no one at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services () has the job of tracking complaints.

This is absolute catnip for private equity - free government money, no obligations, no enforcement, and the people you harm are literally dying and can't complain. What's not to like? No wonder PE companies have spent billions "rolling up" hospices across the country.

I've set up a conditional rule for the Customer Success Story URLs on my site. If the URL field in the CMS is empty, it hides the link, and instead displays the company name in plain text instead.
