One #fanfic got an honorable mention. I don’t mind. I feel good about my writing regardless of what other people say. I take it there were other great stories, not that mine were bad. (Also, I tend to have niche interests I write about.)

I finally posted an update on my #Pokemon#FanFic. Everything should begin flowing a lot more easily. My health has sincerely improved, and I've taken time to outline the story (and, more importantly, the Pokemon Lineups at each major junction for the main characters). Silverstream has not been able to name a single creature with wings who is exclusively straight and is wondering about twilight since she gained her wings later in life. This fic has 2 wonderful readings.
MGSX - Metal Gear Solid Exchange is an exchange geared toward any kink, any ship, any scenario, so long as it is Metal Gear! And we are back for round 2!
It's been a while since I worked on my #Pokemon#FanFic set in the alternate Crimson Red Timeline. After reading the six chapters I have so far, I decided to do some planning to make future chapters easier.
First, I did some lineups for the Gym Leaders. Then, I drafted the lineup Red will use at each major City. Some time tomorrow, if I am not too busy, I will do the same for both Blue and Green so I know where they're at each time they pop up in the story.
The story doesn't require too many extra characters, as I focus on incorporating the Pokemon as characters. It's important because Red is written to be Autistic and is reserved around most people, but very comfortable opening up to his Pokemon.

Final update on daily number of new single chapter fics under the #OFMD tag on #AO3 during the July-October observation period in 2022 and 2023. The cumulative number of single chapter fics in 2023 was 5.4% less than in 2022.
The new season did push the numbers up. 55% of 2023 fics were posted in October, compared to 34% of 2022 fics.
The highest daily number of fics was 102 on the day the final episode of S2 aired (26 Oct 2023).

The Desert Storm by Blue_Sunshine excellent storytelling, absolutely massive, (to the extent it reminds me of Saving Connor) still updating. This is a series of fics under a collection. Has a wide host of OC's and some excellent storytelling and development of Shmi's character. Later parts feature an incredibly scary Darth Plaegious. Written in a wonderful dry humor voice, with (pseudonymous) famous romantic poet and hilariously petty lwj who doesn't let anyone forget their crimes against wwx.
"Down by the water" (60k) by astrolesbian is an incredibly beautiful #WangXian surfer AU #fanfic. I felt like my chest was open & my heart exposed the entire time. Perfect characterization, insecure, awkward lwj pov & sun-like, hot wwx, told via effective time jumps, angst is all in the past.
"A clan of ghosts" (31k) by @twigofwillow is a lovely fix-it AU #cql#fanfic told from Wen Qing's pov. It diverges when wwx and the Wens get a warning from lqy about a trap, leading to wwx's Burial Mounds family expanding in surprising ways. Beautifully told, great characterization and dialogue, and the found family feels are strong. I was especially happy to see wq adopt new family & friends.
