Four of our rescues. From the left, Charlie, grey tabby, crippled back legs. Biting and hissing are his preferred means of communication. T-Lo, black tripawd, rescued from a truck stop. Henry, a very shy orange rescue, born under a shed and rescued by the owners of a local Thai restaurant. Tiny Sir, orange and white, rescued as a kitten. Seen chasing cars in the street. #feralcats#tripawd#adoptdontshop#catsofmastodon
T-Lo is short for “the little one”. She’s quite small. She’s a tri-pawd feral rescue. She seems to have joined the neighbourhood watch. #catsofmastodon#feralcats#adoptdontshop
Three years ago this week our tri-pawd black cat, T-Lo, came into our house. Her best friend is Henry, the orange cat. Both are feral rescues. #catsofmastodon#rescuecats#feralcats
Charlie, our wonky legged feral rescue, concentrates on my hand as I try to take his picture. He’s unlikely to wish you all a happy #caturday as he’s a curmudgeon. So I will, and we’ll all pretend that Charlie is being friendly. #catsofmastodon#feralcats#feralrescue
MaCat's dental bill in September. One (!) tooth out. I mentioned back then, more bad teeth needed to go. And it's getting time for the procedure. It'll be appr. €450 to extract all teets on the right side. I really cannot afford it at the moment. If you can't contribute, maybe you can boost this post 🤞✨🐾 I will update asap. The feral Stripy Cat has been coming around for five years, give or take. Last winter was a cold & icy one here in Portland and I got worried enough about her wellbeing that I fixed her up with a nicely insulated shelter. Being a cat, Stripy never used it except to lie on the roof on nice days.
'Can an Army of Feral Cats Help Solve New York City’s Rat Problem?'
"The four locations, all situated between West 160th Street and West 164th Street, comprised a perfect geographical test zone: four cat colonies transplanted directly on top of four rat habitats to contest a real-life game of Tom and Jerry.
Now that cold, wet weather is setting in, I've been thinking that it might be time to give the feral Stripy Cat a real home if she wants one. So I've put a collar & tag with my contact info on Stripy, asking whether she has a home. Now it's all up to time and Stripy.
