I love #craftcms for its stable deploy process (project config in git). But I haven't found a quick way for setting up & deploying hobby projects yet on small VPS. Same with other #php CMS / frameworks.
Laravel Forge or ploi are great helpers, but with extra costs.💰 But ...1/

FYI, @forgejo is hard-forking from #Gitea, citing strong development community, commitment to FOSS, and growing feature-set beyond the Gitea base. They plan to keep the APIs compatible, but if you were on the fence about when to switch from Gitea to Forgejo, it's better to do that sooner than later.

#GitOps holds a dear spot in my heart. I still remember being in the #Git devroom, or was it #Perl, at #FOSDEM a decade or more ago -- I strongly argued that Git should be used for configuration and deployment and everyone told me it was fundamentally impossible. Only the booking.com people understood it.
It seems like #WeaveWorks (the #GitOps "inventors") have essentially imploded as a company, leaving the #Flux project in... well, flux I guess. We'll likely see more news like this in the #CloudNative space this year :/

Using #Rancher#Fleet to make sure cert-manager is up to date and ready to go across several #Kubernetes clusters via #gitops. Sort of like ArgoCD at cross-cluster scale, and the helm stuff remains helm stuff when it's all said and done.

This exam is run through the #Linux Foundation, so it is an opportunity to get all the warm and fuzzies that come with open source contributions.
Keeping track of container image updates is hard. I started using Renovate Bot to to track these for me and I now get pull requests from a bot for my Docker and Kubernetes container images. Automation is awesome. It's a game changer.
