I wish there was a privacy focused (preferably open source) ecosystem of health and fitness apps coupled with style gadgets like scales, fitness bands etc.
I know there are apps out there that respect your privacy and don't upload tons of data, but I don't think they really work together in the way or do.

Planning another crazy overnight hike 🤪

Disco nap after work, then packed up and out the door tonight between 9 and 10 pm EST 🙌

20 miles and just shy of 7 hours is the Google map estimate, we'll see how accurate that turns out to be 😉

Plan to spend most of Saturday at the beach, then return trip Saturday afternoon/evening if weather holds up 🤞

Definitely the longest trek for me so far - if all goes well, should be seeing new sunrise over the pier pics tomorrow 🙌

🌅⛱️🏃‍♂️🚶‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Wish me luck & send music suggestions for a new playlist to get me thru the night🙏🙌🎶🎶🎶

Google weather for tonight, showing temperatures in low 80s, and low chance of rain after sunset.
Google weather showing temperatures overnight at 80 degrees Fahrenheit through the night with little chance of rain before sunrise.

I am debating if my next smartwatch should be a Samsung or Apple.

My phone is neither. lol

The problem with Google Fit is it does a fine job on keeping track of my steps, but the miles keep resetting.

I'll do 30,000+ steps (13.5 miles) and Google Fit will say I did some nonsense like 00.2 miles.

@riversidebryan I've been searching for this too!

is pretty good, but invading and costs for extra features.

is free, but less powerful and privacy invading

There are some good options on F-Droid.org though, but they store data on your phone and not in a cloud, and they're graphically a bit more clunky. Currently I'm using Google Fit for my
