Okay, verstanden. Vielleicht eine andere Idee, aber die zielt dann eher gen #Gutenberg. Es war mal möglich Autoren in Kommentaren hervorzuheben. By the way, ist es in FSE-Themes überhaupt noch möglich?
Schritt zwei, ist es möglich. z.B. durch Ergänzung einer Class Fediverse-Kommentare mit CSS hervorzuheben. Beispielsweise Background Mastodon-Lila mit weißer Schrift.
I really like @xor's Python script for generating domain names from public domain books, so I turned it, with permission, into a website, to make it easier to use.
So is anyone else using #WordPress and #Gutenberg (the block editor) for long-form blogs?
Is anyone else experiencing the editing grinding to a close halt when typing more than a few paragraphs in a session?
I want to know if it's something with my setup or not — I can experience it with Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, and Android. Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
The only system I have not tried on for lack of one is macOS and I kind of expect that it is possible it's the only one with no problems.
Migrating from a site to Wordpress. We have custom importers working very nicely, but, we are really struggling to fully understand the new Gutenberg blocks. It appears that NASA in their new website had a similar lack of docs.
My question to all Mastodonians… where is some really good current up-to-date docs/tutorials on understanding and using the power of the Gutenberg blocks?
Hey nerds! I used #WordPress heavily in the years before #gutenberg. I'm trying to get back into using it but I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around Gutenberg and #blocks in general. Can anybody point me at some good introductory videos to get me more comfortable? Blog posts are fine, too but I learn better visually! (Tagging a couple of accounts that might be able to help, but any response is welcome.) @wordpress@david
Two interesting #WordPress things I've been working on:
Getting a compose.yml file going for DockPress, making it easier to work with and to add to other projects. (Hopefully replacing VVV.)
Moving the stylesheet for my blog at aldavigdis.dev away from a CSS file to theme.json. It kind of sucks to be honest, so I am thinking of moving colour definitions back into the CSS to keep media queries and dark mode.
The results of moving a large bulk of the CSS of my own WordPress FSE theme from style.css to theme.json is that unless you are making one of those mega flexible themes that you want to release on the .org repository, then stick with style.css for the most part.
This seems to be the reason why the likes of the twentytwentythree theme just aren't aesthetically pleasing out of the box.

#WordPress#accessibility - if you're blind and want to go back to 90s technology, use #gutenberg editor's "move block" upwards or downwards key combination. ctrl-alt-shift-t for up, ctrl-alt-shift-y for down, well, screen reader won't tell you the block has been moved and you'll relive the 90s experience when you had to count button pressures to learn a remote control or cd player's usage.
