Not every beach is sandy @TheSauce , but I've seen 100s of them in NS, dozens along the longest highway (#7) in . (You'd need a guide.) will never mention these places, or I wouldn't go there.
In NOVA SCOTIA, we don't eat lobster daily.

@iuculano Thanks Joe, I have a dozen tabs open, as I read Halifax Municipality pages and the amount of meetings, raises, bad decisions and the proposed Tax increase, while furiously typing.
I can't go for groceries, without breaking down in tears. All the homeless that upset police and council have been moved 4 minutes from my door, between my driveway and my weekly grocery pickup. COUNCILLORS aren't crying,, OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND, next Agenda Item talk, Not helping

Try to find transparency? I once calculated that a meeting I attend with Power Brokers, for one $8000 expenditure, cost $8000/hr, Not having reached a decision, rebooked another Power Meeting?
This goes on behind closed doors daily & InCamera. There's things I can't disclose, unrelated to my current rant, but about poor decisions, lack of constancy, accountability .
A single new staffer changed something, being addressed since 2008, no longer required?

for more than 15 years @Ruston was unable to finish a REVIEW process, but fixed it by removing the requirement to address it?
I do have that STAFFERS name & phone number though.
I'm a trained Auditor in Quality, Safety & Compliance. I can't read a book , but I can read paragraphs, memorize regulations & refresh the memory of overpaid employees who are not doing what they are paid to do.
I'M FURIOUS ABOUT TAX INCREASE OF 10%
I pay more in my monthly taxes now, than my 1st mortgage!

Anyone want to guess, the costs to host a meeting, for a group of 16, that collectively earn $25,600,000 a year? (Plus unk staffers salaries)

Weekends = 104 days + 14 public holidays
They have been working on the same problem for approximately 1000 hours to resolve just one problem? And they cannot find a solution.

- HOLD MEETINGS OUTSIDE?

TIME TO REPLACE THEM ALL!

The Homeless Tenting was inappropriate in the public eye, downtown near the Councillor parking, in past it was and a mayor then who lied repeatedly to the occupiers, Since 2020. I've been reading Staff Report, Staff Report, Meetings and Promises.

I'm not saying I have a solution, but I have ideas. 1st, lower taxes by 10%
Lower the salaries of $100,000 (Sunshine club, to $90.000)
USE Public Transit
needs Ridership.

I know residents of this Mobile Home Park

Springfield Estates Mobile Home Park was formally charged this year with operating a park without a license from the Halifax Regional Municipality — plus another charge of not providing potable water to residents. A court date has been set for June of 2024.

Well, the service is over, at atiny park in , a tiny village on a river, by the same name. Folks asked why I don't wear my medals? Well, for one, I don't carry them around, and other than identifying me as a veteran, my medals bear no semblance to those veterans who fought or died.
I recognized a guest speaker. I sailed with him. Then another, behind me. It took forever to remember their names. One didn't remember me.. yet. We sailed on Skeena, Ottawa & Athabaskan.

You used to see Fire News on the former Twitter, but I don't know what other places they update, and there's no mention of EHS and Fire Depts responding in this end of the former county.

Used to be a green sign past the city of Dartmouth that said, "Halifax County" but after the city amalgamated and started supporting a sign making business full time, they rebranded Halifax Regional Municipality , then rebranded those same 1000 signs to a shorter, cheaper, peel-off type, HALIFAX.

The government, ( ), and two private developers will build a rent-geared-to-income tiny home community in Lower , with residents moving in the autumn of 2024.
