I feel this quest line will end in a fight. My hands want rest... There's no way to save it... So I have to continue and finish it.
Horizon I do love you but dammit, we needed save as it is, not only save here or there... 😔
Wish I had a player two who could take over and do this fight I feel is coming...
Anyone on PS5 with PS+ able to jump in and do the fight in Death's Door?
Hope I can manage... #HorizonForbiddenWest#NoSavePoint#MyPoorHands
In 15 mins and until 17:00, I'll be on the official #Guerrilla livestream to talk about our work on cinematics and conversations in #HorizonForbiddenWest, to celebrate the release of the Complete Edition :D Come say hello!! https://twitch.tv/guerrilla
So, since #HorizonForbiddenWest is coming to PC "early next year", I guess I ought to look into upgrading my PC in January. I doubt my GeForce GTX 1080 is going to cut it.
Also, I'll buy the biggest SSD I can find. It's amazing how quickly disk space fills up...
@danhon I would guess that #Returnal and #HorizonForbiddenWest sound pretty good in Atmos as well. Hopefully #TLOU Part 1 too? I feel like there have only been a handful of truly exceptional audio productions on #PS5 thus far
Just loaded up can “eh” quality YouTube upload of my own #HorizonForbiddenWest#PS5 playthrough, and damn, it’s astonishing how good it looks in motion at 60 FPS or higher 🤯🤩
“Solace Beneath The Stars” by Oleksa Lozowchuk is still my pick for favorite soundtrack from #HorizonForbiddenWest#PS5. Really communicates a lot about the setting and the main character, Aloy. https://youtu.be/T4MXYEaUP5Y
There are moments when the music in this game led me to role-play Aloy stopping dead in her tracks to take in the sunset. The soundtrack is that engrossing. #HorizonForbiddenWest#PS5
The thing is that the #HorizonForbiddenWest#PS5 soundtrack is designed to reflect how Aloy feels at any given moment, so you get to know Aloy emotionally through the music. There’s a lot of compassion and wistfulness there, which resonates deeply with me.
• M2 MacBook Air 13-inch
• Sennheiser HD 6XX wired, open back headphones
• SoundSource + Headphone EQ presets from https://autoeq.app
• Ghz CanOpener Studio 3 + “Lifelike” crossfeed preset
• Currently listening to: the #HorizonForbiddenWest#PS5 soundtrack
Pretty early on, actually, but this is ridiculous: there are multiple, dynamic layer and track transitions that occur in this short segment of gameplay. Brilliant audio design if you ask me.
I started #HorizonForbiddenWest#PS5 nearly a year ago, and I think I was playing #HorizonZeroDawn around this time last year. I remember the jank from the first game (Guerrilla got a lot better with character animations), but I also remember the palpable sense of place. Beautiful games.
I also still feel like #HorizonForbiddenWest#PS5 did exactly enough with the main protagonists, the Zeniths. I felt like it was lacking early on, but later, and now, I feel like they fleshed them out exactly as much as they needed. Further, they didn’t fall into the pit of trying to humanize violent, destructive, world-conquering billionaires. There’s a wisdom and economy to these characterizations that still impresses me.
The composers really outdid themselves with the #HorizonForbiddenWest soundtrack and its implementation though. They’ve spoken about how they want the music and supporting systems to convey how the protagonist Aloy is feeling, so while there is a sense of place, there is really this emotional center that feels unique. https://youtu.be/oK1mA4RPin0
(Lmao, I also want to replay #HorizonForbiddenWest itself at some point. The soundtrack release is great, but the in-game implementation is transcendent, if occasionally and necessarily crowded due to sound effects.)
Oh, I also want to play the whole game on Ultra Hard difficulty. I switched to Ultra Hard in the post-game and played #HorizonForbiddenWest: Burning Shores entirely on that difficulty, and even then I’m like, “more please!!!” 😂
It’s done! I started this Clawstrider at the beginning of the month, and finished just before midnight last night.
I didn’t work on it every night, but more than half. It’s ~7100 pieces, and probably took ~100 hours to assemble.
The instructions were … not amazing, and the kit was missing 10-20 specific pieces. It’s also fragile AF. Can’t really recommend it unless you are ready for frustration.
