Morning Folks! I've been playing a lot of #HorizonForbiddenWest since the PC release last week and talk about some of my experiences. This is a gorgeous game but not one without a few slowdown issues in a single area of the game. That seems to have been resolved in a patch but talk through those issues nonetheless.
Horizon Forbidden West (PC) looks glorious, but already fallen foul to basic tropes.
A sequel where your character has none of the skills you learned in the fist game.
And a companion that won't hesitate to start a fight while you're sneaking.
Almost half of the #Friday has gone by, so I believe this is the right time to start thinking about the #weekend, and what better way of doing so than talking about the videogames you'll play during the next days?
For the folks who were asking, #HorizonForbiddenWest does indeed run on the #SteamDeck. Mine is an OLED version, and running H2FW makes it spin up like a jet engine. By default, it runs in 1200x800.
While the game's not buttery smooth, it's certainly playable. I'd recommend going in and disabling Bloom, blur, vignette, shake, etc., for best performance.
The default settings are fine, though. It works well enough.
Good morning and happy Thursday to all of you here within the #Fediverse
It's a new day, so let's discuss what the day ahead has in store for each of us.
It's the usual work stuff here with a meeting at 12pm EST today. After that, I'll be playing Horizon Forbidden West as it releases in 3 1/2 hours from now and I'm so excited!
