A while ago I played Horizon Forbidden West. I still have a long way to go, but been distracted by No Man's Sky and Elder Scrolls Online.
But this is a shot of me and my mount.
I promised myself Cyberpunk 2077 would be my next big open-world game, but I still gotta finish FFXII before that, and then there's tons of smaller games I wanna play too.
If HFW is anything like HZD, I’ll really wanna avoid spoilers…😩 (granted, harder to have /that level/ of Mind-Blowing Story Stuff in a sophomore release…)
"Let's Play" videos for #HorizonForbiddenWest are one of my indulgences, and I've discovered a fascinating one - one that is done by a therapist.
You won't get a lot of action in this series because he plays on the lowest difficulties, but he pauses frequently to analyze the characters and their conversation. And there is a lot to analyze in that game, considering all the drama involving the protagonists... 😉
I want to get a new graphics card in anticipation of the PC release of #HorizonForbiddenWest .
My screen has a resolution of 1980x1080, which I am comfortable with - I certainly don't need 4K graphics. However, I feel that my old GeForce 1080 is not enough for the latest generation of PC games.
A friend recommended a GeForce 3080 as a suitable replacement. Do you agree with this assessment, or would you recommend something else?
After a long time doing "one more side quest" I finally stopped putting it off and took the fight to the Far Zeniths in #HorizonForbiddenWest this evening :)
Man I feel sorry for gingers. Playing my second run-through of “Horizon Forbidden West” where the main character is female with long flowy red hair. Every single character you meet along the way calls you by some different redhead reference. “The flame haired outlander”. “Hair like blood”. “Redheaded Nora warrior”. “Legend tells of a maiden with hair like the setting sun”. “Whoa - you’re that (maiden|warrior|similar noun) with the red hair we heard about”.
Jesus guys. She’s got eyes, boobs and a butt as well! #smh
About a year ago I borrowed Horizon: Forbidden West from a friend and played (and solved) it on the PS4. Thought it was an absolutely amazing game, visually spectacular. That was on 1080p.
Bought it yesterday for $20 (half price, new) since I knew that there was a free upgrade to the PS5 version included.
Good god. It hasn’t disappointed. 4K HDR 120fps on this thing is unbelievable. Literally the most amazing, detailed, vibrant graphics I’ve ever seen in my life. One hundred gigabytes install footprint notwithstanding. The visuals take one’s breath away. Phenomenal game too.
Finally back home with a #PS5 again. All the games I missed are now included with #PSPlus so I’ll have quite a backlog. One reason I stopped playing my PS5 was the games were too expensive. Waiting a couple years solved that
#Chiaki also works great on #SteamDeck. I’m now debating whether to keep my #PlayStationPortal preorder. But it’ll have larger screen, 1080p (vs 720p), adaptive triggers and rumble.
It should also be noted that Horizon Forbidden West does drop auto saves frequently. Any time something of importance happens in the game, you can be assured that an auto save was done in the background. This includes before boss fights, after cinematics during main quests, and just randomly as you play. There is no shortage of auto saves in Horizon Forbidden West, and I never hit a snag where I died and felt I lost any meaningful progress.
Can I log off in between campfires and will it allow me to continue from an automatic save game then??? Or will it only let me continue from my last campfire game then??

Main quest at the moment is "the Dying Lands".
Finally playing some #HorizonForbiddenWest again. There's a Tallneck in the back, I definitely need to climb and override it. It's been a while since I done that, hope I remember how to do it. 😊
