I watched the first episode of #TheMidnightStudio
It has a similar plot theme of #MayIHelpYou which is the best Amazon Prime #kdrama production so far imho. And it stars the lovely #KwonNara who was the only character I truly loved in #ItaewonClass
Anyway it certainly looks promising!
I read it's an original Genie TV production.
Disney+ Rant: if a show is still airing, why don’t you a) tell us what days you will release new episodes, and b) tell us how many episodes the show has?!
Why does Flex X Cop only list 14 episodes? Why does it not say anywhere that it’s still airing? Or that there are 16 episodes in total? Or when the next episode will be out so I don’t have to check the app every day?
We are now discussing these song choices over evening dinner, for this Butter & Dynamite were discussed. However I've chosen RM English #Closer and it's (odd) official #kdrama inspired video!!
After all the smart-ness in #CaptivatingTheKing, I needed a #kdrama that didn't require any thinking. #ALoveSoBeautiful has the emotional and mental depth of an after-school special, and 20 minute episodes! Winning.
Except the ML is a total JERK to the FL. And the 2ML is thoughtful, supportive, considerate, kind, emotionally aware... exasperated sigh
It is a Korean remake of a #cdrama and ... I can tell?
Unexpressive smart dude is loved unconditionally by an ever-grinning, not smart or capable young woman who follows him around like a puppy waiting to get kicked again. For too short of a time, she comes to her senses, but (spoiler) not long enough.
A kind, handsome, charming, thoughtful, fun dude also loves her, but she prefers to be neglected and turns him down.
The more I watch Kdramas, the more I'm convinced my life will not be complete until I make an accidental spin-fall into the arms of a dashing Korean man.
I don't save too many Kdramas on disk anymore.
Delete sometimes if I am sure I won't regret it later.
But Knight Flower is for the keep !
What a good, meticulously made drama this is !
I would like to give the whole team flowers for their work.
I could not make a choice, so I bought them all.
@hanktank61
Ugh, another show that's only on Viki Plus! It's probably worth it for me, especially before I travel since I think it includes downloads. However, I try to keep all of these entertainment costs down to a dull roar, especially since I also pay monthly for reading and music! #kdrama
Since I'm upgrading to Plus in a couple of weeks for my trip & hoping the downloads work. I will add this to "My Dearest" & "Queen of Divorce" list of Plus shows to watch!
I don't know why but I am still thinking of Lee Sun-kyun. I feel so sad for him still 😢
I got to know him very, very early. Through the dramas Coffee Prince (2007) and Pasta (2010). Was lovely to see his star rise over the years and was genuinely happy for him when Parasite became a big hit.
I have been re-watching JOSEON ATTORNEY and one of the themes it explores is something that I always find fascinating when it comes up in a sageuk: that the nature of monarchy is fundamentally corrosive to one’s humanity (or prosocial instincts if you want to get academic about it).
I’m not talking about the common people who live in a monarchy. I’m talking about the monarch and the people in the royal family.
An interesting difference between #JDrama and #KDrama fandom. Every.Single.Time I jwatch a K-actor's Insta live, there are ALWAYS commenters saying stuff like "Speak English" - no "please", and no acknowledgement that the celeb has the absolute right to use their L1.
I've been watching a #JDrama actor's Insta live for the last 10 minutes, and it's all Japanese. I don't speak or read Japanese but I love that J actors aren't hassled by entitled fans demanding they speak English
