Hiked the Lower Gray Wolf trail in the Buckhorn wilderness today. The Gray Wolf is part of the Dungeness river system. This spot is the end of that lower river trail where the old foot bridge used to be. There is no way across to the upper trail from here. In a few weeks we’ll hike the upper Gray Wolf on a 5-night backpacking trip. #PNW #mosstodon
Perched and posed. Whenever we’ve actively searched for Grasshopper Sparrows in meadows and high grasses, they’ve eluded us. Both times we’ve spotted one they’ve been perched along a roadside, the first in a bush and this one on a mossy post.
