Today on “The Return to Fitness”, it’s day one of running solely in HR zone 2, speed be damned. It’s slow and methodical, but I know it works. I’ll rebuild my vanished base, even if it’s dull.
Late one tonight, even for me. I started Tuesday and finished on Wednesday. It was cool and quiet, just the sound of my plodding feet. Saw a meteorite streak overhead at about the halfway point. Happens every couple months. I’m going to declare it an omen of good things to come. New beginnings. #Running
OK, it’s not Sunday but I needed some cheering up. From an afternoons running to, and round the Crawick Multiverse. Worth a visit, in most weathers if you find yourself in Dumfries and Galloway.
I've been spending some time this month running... and then jumping on the Withings Body Scan scale to see how I'm tracking. It's a high-end scale with an equally high-end price -- read my full review now!
Apparently the UK is the only country where we deliberately go walking in the mountains, get soaked right through, wild camp, then get into the wet clothes and boots the next day and do it all again. That’s what our #Mountainleader trainer told us anyway #mountains#wildcamping#MTA#running
Well, that was unexpected. What should have been a low impact Z2 run turned into a second fastest 10k time 🤣
Happy Tuesday #runnersofmastodon 🏃♂️💨☕️ keep #running 🎉
Something totally different on this morning's solo trail run: I didn't stop to take any photos! The few I took were while running. Also, comparing watch vs. phone recording times, see if you can guess which is which (answer in ALT).
What an event! Completed SMVE 50 miles. I feel proud, grateful and stronger than ever.
Starting at midnight, headlamps on straight into with a 400m climb was quite daunting. Found a good pack to run with. Made our way through the night and as we neared the first aid station witnessed a magnificent sunrise. The day got warmer, and legs got more tired, but found a way to push through and made it in just under 14 hrs.
Monday:
91 seconds of plank
6 km of #running (17°C)
Stepped outside, heard thunder. Four hundred metres into the run, rain. One KM into the run, soaked by the nice cool rain. Had a blast on the short run.
Now, we back up and head off to the forest. …yes, I'm bringing my running gear, just in case the mood hits.
Weekly #blog. I’m thrilled to have extra time for #running and #cycling this week, especially since the rain storms politely scheduled themselves to fit my plans
New week, started with 10.62km. today is a day of the accidental PB's (even Strava agrees today) I didn't set out to run a PB, I set out to have an enjoyable morning run.
Took the old phone, today, because I wanted a picture of the sunrise, and also because I wanted to try my new water running belt.
Top tip for the water belt; if you think it's tight enough, then it'll probably need to be tighter - live and learn.
Very proud of my result!!! I did it in 3:45, which is 27 minutes faster than my first #marathon. Weather was awesome, the crowd too. Very big event and the organization was top class.
So fun!! #running#ottawaraceweekend
