Yesterday I learned of the existence of "Turtle Tunes", a 1994 direct-to-vhs live-action #NinjaTurtles special with TERRIFYING costumes.
It consists of the #TMNT and several kids making a show for April's TV station. The show they produce is them singing about friendship, not talking to strangers, picking up litter, etc., to various royalty-free tunes.
Apparently there's also a Christmas special which I haven't dared to watch yet.
As a #Sega kid growing up, I only ever played #HyperstoneHeist. After taking my 4-year-old son with me through a couple playthroughs, I decided to see how the other half lived and give #TurtlesInTime a shot.
This is the first time I've ever felt like I missed out on something having grown up with a Genesis .Turtles in Time is a superior game in practically every way, but it's hard AF! I can beat Hyperstone Heist on easy without breaking a sweat, even with the youngling taxing continues (bless him he does his best 😂). I have yet to beat Turtles in Time after three attempts. Teachable moments on perseverance, I suppose!
Watching the Twilight Zone from 2002, it's on Tubi. It's rad, man 🤣 If you haven't seen it, it's hosted by Forest Whitaker, the theme music is done by Jonathan Davis/Korn (one of the most 2002 things I've ever seen 😂🤣) and the rest of the music is done by Mark Snow (the dude that did the X-Files theme). Anyway, Tubi is free (and yeah, there's ads), but it has some really great stuff on it. Inglorious Basterds, that first TMNT movie from 1990, just a ton of cool stuff.
The turtle enclosure is clean and Mikey swam like crazy before dinner.🐢🦐 Adding the filter made a huge difference, I can go a month before needing to do a full scale cleaning.🫧🧼
I still need to steam my shirts but I'm running out of steam myself.😴 Maybe I'll get one ready for tomorrow and then steam the rest tomorrow night, the days aren't long enough sometimes...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. It's a puff for me then back to the grind.
Okay, so I read #TMNT: The Last Ronin this afternoon. It was well done. It gave very #TheDarkKnightReturns vibes, but honestly better. It's set in a dark future version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe and the mystery it starts off with of who is the only living Ninja Turtle...is wild.
