Talk to me about organisations/institutions with their own #mastodon instances… the variety of models (eg from corporate-accounts only to full, moderated institutional social network)and how those interact with the original scope/ethos of the organisation.
I’m looking at this as a #tradeUnion officer. You can imagine a #union instance as just a single, self-hosted corporate account right through to one on which all members are welcome, or even encouraged to set up an account…
Obligatory "I'm still here but barely" post - between job-changing (yes, leaving #Thoughtworks after 12 years!) and parenting, I haven't had the time for much social media.
I'm also finding that a lot of my social stuff has moved to #slack or #discord - not sure if this is a wider change or just my circles?

2018: @effye , @mheiber and I launch https://toot.thoughtworks.com . Every employee can create an account and start posting. More than 800 people will do that over the next 5 years.
2023: The official corporate account of @thoughtworks is created and starts posting on the #Fediverse.
