UX researchers: I've had 3 or 4 testers so far, basically reading responses from chatGPT on platforms like usertesting.com or playbookUX. They get asked the question, pretend to think, and start reading, pretending they are talking out loud. Is that everybody's experience? Did ChatGPT kill unmoderated research?
Are you one of the many folks who struggle to get design integrated into the product development process? My latest Medium article may provide some helpful insights for you - I break down the most successful techniques I've used in UX leadership. #uxdesign#gamedev#uxresearch#tech
Users are like kids at Christmas. They say they really want this one thing, but that one thing won’t keep them happy for long.
What will make them happy? Solving their unspoken problems, the problems they can’t quite articulate. And the best way uncover them is to ask really good questions.
I wrote a 2 parts article for Condens on biases in user research in areas that don’t get enough attention: Part 1 focuses on biases with note-taking and data analysis. I talk about awareness, how they impact projects and mitigation strategies. https://condens.io/blog/biases-in-user-research-note-taking-and-data-analysis/
(stay tuned for part 2 that will focus on biases impacting research & design project decisions and meetings)

Part 2: Examining UX Professionals' Attitudes Towards AI (10min) https://uxpsychology.substack.com/p/part-2-examining-ux-professionals
This study suggests that UX professionals are cautiously optimistic about the future and mostly willing to accept AI in their work as long as the appropriate regulations are in place and risks are mitigated. Organisations should invest of reducing risk and educating UX professionals on new technologies to address their concerns and increase the acceptance of AI tools. #AI#UXResearch

The Apple VisionOS will be the first OS that can tell EXACTLY what features on a web page your eyes are drawn to, in what order, and for how long they linger. It is a user testing dream come true.
If someone isn't making that app, it won't take long.
