Espechally since that #uC is easy to obtain and relatively cheap (compared to a #Pi0 / #Pi0W which were used for the #DreamPi#Dialup adaptor and are still not widely available at #MSRP)...
As people are asking, here's the drill I went through to configure my Mac to allow my Apple IIe (and other vintage systems around the room) to "dial in" to it via WiFi232 or other WiFi modem devices.
@blakespot Great write up! I'll be selling a small batch of #WiFi232 modems this Saturday at the VCF/System Source Swap Meet outside of Baltimore. What doesn't sell will go in my online shop afterwards. Cheers!
Considering attending the swap meet this Saturday. Currently sold out of #WiFi232 modems so I’m making one of the last batches for a while. Also have lots of #C64 stuff I could sell. Are you going?
OFC I don't expect those slots to be #ISA or something but something like the #OldNet or #Wifi232-alike #NIC should be possible...
I mean if I had the €€€€€ and skills I'd likely try to build one of those myself for the #CommanderX16, but even a simple #RS232 card that can interface with some "#FakeModem" - #Network adapter would be sufficient.
