Zur #Nachhaltigkeit von #Hardware trägt Langlebigkeit und daher auch deren Reparierbarkeit wesentlich bei. In Frankreich müssen Geräte-Hersteller auf der Verpackung eine Reparierbarkeitsnote angeben. Ersatzteile und Reparaturanleitungen müssen z.B. mind. 7 Jahre verfügbar gemacht werden, um eine gute Note beim "Indice de réparabilité" zu erreichen. So auch beim #Smartphone.

Ugh, an intensive day with too much sitting, fully immersed in circuit work.
The ramp up with #KiCad tools was very smooth. I didn't find any roadblocks in #schematic capture, part coding, #PCB layout, nor cleaning up DRCs. The tools have come a long way since my last use in 2021! Pleased!
A scan through manufacturability tomorrow and the full cycle is complete. Yay #FOSS.

After nearly 20 years of playing the majority of my games with xbox 360 controllers (first on the 360, now on PC) I'm finally forced to admit I need an upgrade. I've had some of these controllers for so long the housings have actually worn down. They're all on their second or third set of joystick sensors too. And it's annoying keeping up with rechargable AA batteries.
So, I'm looking for recommendations! I'd prefer:
Offset joysticks (eg, xbox) over symmetrical (eg, playstation)
Good, crisp input
Wireless, good range, either bluetooth or dongle (dongle slightly preferred)
Rechargable
Large-ish (I have fairly big hands)
Must work in Linux (primarily Pop_OS)
Extra back buttons are a plus!
I do have an 8bitdo Pro 2 controller, but I find it uncomfortable, undersized, and the d-pad is spongy. Cost isn't an issue within reason; I'd rather spend $75 on a really good controller than waste a bunch of time buying/returning junk.

The panel has been given a new, clearer editing mode, which makes it much easier to set up. You open the editing mode from the context menu (right mouse button) by selecting Start editing mode.
