This is my ‘Folk and Bluegrass’ playlist on my personal YouTube channel. I curate the playlist, with 263 live music videos at least weekly. It’s one the biggest of the nineteen I curate on my channel. I’ve collected these for over a decade, and without being too immodest I think I did a damn good job. You can hit this playlist, sit back and enjoy for hours, days even. Or just keep it on in the background on shuffle. My gift to you. BTW, if you’re not already spending the $18.99/month (USD) for YouTube premium, you’re missing out. I’d get rid of all my other streaming subs, including Netflix & Prime, before I’d part with my - Just sayin.

It's not like I didn't know full well that it was gonna happen, but boy howdy is saying any nice thing about Large Internet Company on Mastodon quite the exercise.

I'm just another noodle on the internet - what do I know?

But perhaps if any mention of a mainstream anything invites You're Doing it Wrong and you Should Feel Bad About Your Opinions as responses by default... maybe this place isn't so fun.

This thread was a wild ride to read. It encouraged me to seriously examine my ethics and I went and bought because I realized I will never get around to individually supporting everyone I subscribe to and I believe "the worker deserves his wages" https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Timothy%205:18&version=NIV

I'm not turning off or stopping using and though. Ads are a security and mental health risk and I like controlling my viewing experience instead of an .

Google kills two-year “Pixel Pass” subscription after just 22 months

Two years on a Pixel Pass was supposed to get you a new phone.

dapprvilln,

@arstechnica received the email yesterday. My wife and I are both affected by this as we each have phones with the plan on

Suppose it was a decent deal if Google kills it off before a full term.

Only used it for the and subscriptions, and I think it was still cheaper than buying the phone and those plans piecemeal. IIRC.

YouTube Premium is jumping up in price, from $14.99 to $22.99/mo, with not even a modicum of effort to toss in some extra "value" to justify the raise. A ridiculous, blind cash grab, but they know the current incarnation of YouTube ads make it unpalatable to stop subscribing. Talk about a rock and a hard place 😩
