Free speech is alive and well on American campuses as students are welcome to protest injustice as long as their slogans are perfectly calibrated to offend noone and can withstand the scrutiny of bad-faith actors and no individual among them is a hothead who's said some offensive shit either during the protest or previously on social media. #gazaprotests#censorship#acab
"The practice of giving sedatives to people detained by police has spread quietly across the nation over the last 15 years, built on questionable science and backed by police-aligned experts...
Isn't it interesting that every killing by every cop is just a single bad apple that should never be thought to spoil the bunch, while every protest by and on behalf of marginalized people must be flawlessly perfect, or all participants deserve the brutality the police exist to deliver to them?
@StreetDogg@JuliusGoat Reolace “protest” with “police force” in that comment. Holds at least as true that way. And police forces do have hierarchies that could enforce that, unlike protests. #ACAB
Seeing videos of #Palestine protestors in so many campuses being abused by coward pig cops #ACAB. I am so in love with all these brave college students. I am not surprised professors don't have the guts to join then. At least it is very rare that one does. Security in #academia is a powerful drug. Be careful you don't lose your integrity with your confort, @academicchatter.
If there wasn't a standing army with a surveillance network, rifles, grenade launchers, body armor, and armored vehicles on our streets, do you think the politicians would feel comfortable ignoring protests?
Random share: Funniest cop dodge was in 1999, in Vancouver - at huge rally protest for homeless. I bonked a cop in the nuts, with my bicycle helmet, while crawling under him & trying to get away from the batons beat downs. He tried grabbing me & I just whipped my head up fast & hit his nutsack. He fell over. I crawled over him & said - My helmet cost $2!
I was told that it's not helping me to ask if the officer that was sent to hospital, because I bonked his balls out, with my bicycle helmet, needed jelly donuts to feel better 🤐
